The DSM is changing

There’s no blood test or brain scan that can diagnose depression, schizophrenia or other major mental illnesses.

But researchers are hard at work on finding those biological markers. The next edition of psychiatry’s diagnostic manual will start to bring more biology into how we understand .

Tennessee is now live!

🚨 The Counseling Compact has officially gone live in Tennessee, marking another significant milestone in expanding access to mental health care! Tennessee is the ninth state to grant privileges, joining Arizona, Minnesota, Ohio, Louisiana, Georgia, Indiana, Arkansas and Wyoming!

Across the country, 30 additional states and the District of Columbia are actively completing the steps needed to begin issuing and receiving privileges under the Counseling Compact.

Counseling Compact privileges will be live in Indiana on Monday, June 8, at 1 pm EDT!

Tennessee counselors save their board!

Counselors have the power to make changes to state laws. Recently, a proposed bill in Tennessee included a provision that would eradicate the state’s Counseling board. Counselors advocated against that provision, which was ultimately removed from the bill.
