Tennessee counselors save their board!

Counselors have the power to make changes to state laws. Recently, a proposed bill in Tennessee included a provision that would eradicate the state’s Counseling board. Counselors advocated against that provision, which was ultimately removed from the bill. Our Visions newsletter features the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association and their advocacy work on this bill. https://nbcc.org/governmentaffairs/grassroots/newsroom/TLPCA-Demonstrates-Advocacy-in-Action

Are you getting clawbacks? The ACA wants to hear from you!

Insurers have been aggressively pursuing clawbacks, reimbursement reductions, downcoding, and other “cost-saving” approaches.

ACA is urgently gathering personal stories from counselors impacted by these insurance challenges. Your story could assist us in our meetings with lawmakers, strengthen our advocacy efforts, and show the real-life consequences of these harmful practices.

Together, we can make a powerful case for greater insurance regulation and the prioritization of accessible mental healthcare.
