Some mornings I come into the studio before everyone else, light my candles, look around at everything we’ve built, and think… this is my life now.

My sister is here. My husband is here. After 11 years of chasing a vision that, for a long time, only I could see, the people I love are now working beside me to build it.

And I think I can finally say I’m in my happy place.

For so long, I created from survival. Always thinking about the next bill, the next project, the next improvement, the next way to keep the dream alive. Now, for the first time, I feel like I’m creating toward something instead of just fighting to hold onto it.

There’s something sacred about the studio in the early morning. The quiet. The candles burning. Paint, fibers, canvases and color surrounding me. A thousand possibilities sitting on shelves, waiting for someone to give them life.

I think about all the nights I stayed in. The ideas scribbled down at ridiculous hours. The sacrifices. The constant voice in my head asking, How can I make this better?

All those years imagining a place I could someday stand inside of.

Now I do.

And I get to watch other people create inside of it too.

I thank God because even in the moments when I’ve physically been alone, I’ve never truly felt alone. In the quiet, the muse speaks. God gives me the vision, and I answer in the language I understand best…

Color by color.
Idea by idea.
Year by year.

I’m not building from survival anymore.

I’m building from vision.

And this is only the beginning. studio

🇺🇸 Labor Day Studio Closure | Cierre por el Día del Trabajo 🎨

To our wonderful students, families, and community: Unwind & Design Creative Studio will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, 2026, in observance of Labor Day. There will be no classes that day, and we’ll return to our regular schedule Tuesday, September 8th. ❤️🤍💙
