🌳If I was taking my child to OT, my choice would definitely be a clinic with a hammock I could lay in, rather than a hard chair in the waiting room 😉

🌳No lie, I have legit had a parent fall asleep in one of my OT sessions (not the one pictured in this photo). It actually didn’t bother me one bit, I considered it really positive feedback. If my clinic space provides an environment where their nervous system feels safe enough to fall asleep, I nailed it. Because the deal is, the majority of my parents need rest for their nervous system. If you have spent even 1 minute with special needs parents, you are fully aware that these super humans are on overdrive 99% of their day.

🌳In all seriousness though, parents are always welcome in OT sessions, lying in the hammock or anywhere else.

🌳They are also welcome to walk the trail as a reset.

🌳They are also welcome to stay in their car and get work done.

🌳They are also welcome to take a nap. ❤️

🌳I feel strongly that I am not just here to support the child, I’m here to support the family unit.
