A big thank you to Candace with the Boone County Library for spending the morning with us! Our residents had such a wonderful time getting creative and making the cutest miniature fall wreaths. 💛

We had a wonderful time welcoming the Mayor of Florence, city officials, and members of the Florence Police and Fire Department to Spring Arbor for a special Meet & Greet!

Our guests shared helpful information about the city and the services they provide to our community. Our residents also had the opportunity to share their appreciation and compliments for the quick response times and wonderful service provided by our local emergency service departments. 🚒🚑🚓

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on our wonderful Dorothy!

Dorothy has called Spring Arbor home for 7 years and recently celebrated her 99th birthday! 🎉

One of 16 children, Dorothy built a beautiful family of her own with her dear husband, Thomas, for over 50 years, and is blessed with 3 daughters, 4 grandsons, and 9 great-grandchildren. She has always enjoyed gardening, golf, and being involved in her daughters’ activities. She worked as a Doctor Assistant for many years.

Dorothy says she treasures the friendships she’s made here and appreciates the kindness and caring of our staff. We are so lucky to have her as part of our Spring Arbor family! 💛🌻

🎉Join us in Congratulating our September Employee of the Month, Brandon!🎉

Brandon has been part of the Spring Arbor family for two years, serving as one of our wonderful cooks. What he loves most about Spring Arbor is simple: The people he gets to work with every day!

Outside of work, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and three sons, Connor, Jordon, and Maxwell, along with their dog Skye. You will often find Brandon and his family enjoying dinner out, catching a movie, watching football, or tuning in to Formula 1 racing.

A fun fact about Brandon, he loves historical dramas and learning about the past!

Our residents had such a fun afternoon Friday exploring the Newport Aquarium! 🐟🐡 From getting hands-on with starfish and sea cucumbers, to attempting to pet the stingrays, although they kept dodging us 😂there was no shortage of laughs and new experiences!

And then came the ultimate test of courage.... the Shark Bridge! 😱🦈 One of our residents faced their fears, stepped out of their comfort zone and bravely made their way across!

Days like this remind us that adventures have no age limit. 💜 We loved seeing the smiles, laughter, curiosity, and courage throughout the day. Another wonderful memory made! 💜✨

Our staff had the pleasure of visiting the case management team at Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital for a Lunch & Learn!

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to sit around the table with the professionals who help individuals and families navigate important decisions about what comes next after a hospital or rehab stay. By building strong relationships and learning more about one another’s services, we can work together to help make those transitions smoother and less overwhelming for seniors and their families.

Today, we have the honor of celebrating 99 beautiful years of Dorothy! For the past seven years, Dorothy has been a special part of our community and has filled our halls with her presence, her smile, and so many wonderful memories.

Reaching 99 years is an incredible milestone, a lifetime filled with love, laughter, family, friendships, and stories worth celebrating. We feel truly blessed to have shared a small part of Dorothy’s beautiful journey.

Chef Tony and Corrie had a fantastic time at the co****le tournament hosted by Home Instead in support of the Alzheimer’s Association! It was a wonderful afternoon filled with friendly competition, meaningful networking with fellow senior care professionals, and coming together for a cause that touches so many lives. Thank you, Home Instead, for bringing our community together to make a difference and to Crescent Insurance for providing such a wonderful event space!

At the Florence Night Out event we had the privilege of celebrating our local heroes in a special way! 💙🚓👮

At our Growing Gratitude Across Generations card-making station, children poured their hearts into creating handmade thank you cards for the police officers serving our community.

The smiles on the officers faces as they received these thoughtful cards were priceless. It was a beautiful moment that brought generations together and showed how even the smallest act of appreciation can make a big impact!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and helped us spread gratitude. We love creating opportunities that connect people of all ages and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special.
