Meet Our Executive Director 👋

Teena Mackey started her career in Parks and Recreation at the Joliet Park District and other Districts until 2007 when she made a career shift to mental health services at Cornerstone Services.

She became a volunteer for NAMI (the National Alliance for Mental Illness) the Will Grundy affiliate in 2007 and served as the NAMI Will Grundy Board President from 2014 until 2023 when she became the Executive Director of NAMI Will Grundy coordinating all operations until August 2024.

Teena also served on the Will County Board of Health from 2019 to 2024.

In August, 2024 Teena became the Executive Director for the new Will County Community Mental Health 708 Board and looks forward to the impact that the 708 Board can have on programs and services for individuals living with a mental health diagnosis, substance use challenges and intellectual/developmental disabilities.

We are grateful for Teena's dedication and leadership.

Grateful for being able to build relationships with new partners. Especially the schools. Thank you Joan, Tim, and Liaquath, with the Will County Health Department & Community Health Center with the Smoking & To***co Committee for inviting us to join this impactful meeting. Looking forward to the things we will be able to accomplish together in the Will County School Districts.
