Nature continues to be my favorite place to be in for reflection 🪞🍃
We can learn a lot from the elements, especially the reflective nature of water, an element that I hold near and dear to myself.
With water, the reflective nature allows one to see the original blueprints’ qualities mirrored in a new way. The mirror is never the same as the true thing, but when the water is still, you can see more clearly. When the water is turbulent, everything gets distorted.
The same understanding of this reflective nature can be used for oneself as we think about the moments in which we thrive, can best understand, and connect. In times of stillness and peace, the pictures become less distorted. In times of turbulence, turmoil, or heightened emotions, the reflecting picture becomes distorted.
This is one reason I tend to go out into nature for many of my meditative and reflective practices. However, nature is never completely still. It’s more still. Though never completely silent. It’s quieter than the noise of the cars on the busy street or the people in a bustling city. These are all environments with their own perks and energies that support each of us in different ways. Yet it’s in the quietest moments that our focus sharpens. Our reflections (yas pun 😉) become clearer, and we can see best.
These are the experiences and moments I curate in 1:1 experiences, as well as my sound meditation journeys. Recreating or mimicking some of nature’s elements to assist with reflection, relaxation, and release.
