Meet Lori β€” founder, owner, and the heart behind Western Colorado Therapeutics.

Lori didn't set out to build a massage practice. She set out to help people actually get better.

Not just feel better for a day. Actually get better.

That meant learning everything she could about how the body works β€” the anatomy, the patterns, the compensation cycles that keep people stuck in pain. Over the years she's become a specialist in rotator cuff support and assessment, and she's currently training in somatic face massage techniques (because she never stops learning).

It also meant building a practice grounded in assessment, not routine. And creating a space where every person who walks in feels seen, not processed.

Outside the treatment room, Lori has 3 kids, 1 dog, and 3 cats β€” and one very special new addition: Happy, a 5-month-old puppy in training to become a therapy dog for clients with PTSD and trauma. He won't be in sessions until his training is complete (estimated January 2027), but you can follow his journey on Instagram . 🐾

We're so glad she built this place. And we're glad you found it.

Facial cupping looks a little wild β€” we get it. 🫧

But if you deal with TMJ tension, sinus pressure, or recurring headaches, it's worth a second look.

By improving circulation and releasing tight muscles around the jaw and face, it can help you breathe easier, open your jaw with less pain, and feel noticeably less congested β€” sometimes in a single session.

It's one of those techniques that looks intimidating but feels like a reset.

Recently, two clients came in with frozen shoulder β€” and honestly, it's one of the most limiting conditions we work with. It doesn't just hurt β€” it takes over your whole day.

The good news? We can make real progress. Through myofascial release, cupping, and nervous system support, we help you get your movement (and your life) back.

Don't wait on this one. Relief is possible. Book a session β€” link in bio.

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, navigating pregnancy, or just carrying more tension than your body knows what to do with β€” we can help.

Here's what we see in the treatment room every week:

β†’ Neck + shoulder pain from desk work and screens
β†’ Low back pain and hip tightness
β†’ IT band, glute, and knee issues
β†’ Post-surgical and injury recovery
β†’ Migraine and tension headache patterns
β†’ Prenatal discomfort (sciatica, hip pain, swelling)
β†’ Chronic pain and inflammation support
β†’ Stress and nervous system overload

Every session starts with an assessment. No routines. No guessing. Just expert care built around what your body actually needs.

If something on that list sounds familiar, we'd love to help. Link in bio to book your session. πŸ’™

Here's why one massage a month makes such a difference.

Your body is constantly adapting. To your desk. Your stress. Your sleep position. The way you carry your kids, your backpack, or your tension.

Those adaptations build up. Slowly. Quietly. Until one day your neck won't turn, your shoulder aches, and your lower back is screaming.

One massage session can start to unwind that. But your body will start rebuilding those patterns almost immediately if nothing changes.

That's why rhythm matters.

One session a month keeps your body from defaulting back. It gives us the chance to build on progress instead of starting over every time. It creates the consistency your body needs to actually change.

That's what our membership is designed for.

One 60-minute massage every month. Reserved for you. Roll over if unused. Pause anytime you're away. Real, lasting results β€” not quick fixes.

That "I slept wrong" neck that won't quit? Yeah, we need to talk.

Neck stiffness and soreness aren't just annoying β€” they're your body signaling that something's off. Tight muscles, restricted fascia, reduced circulation. And no amount of stretching is getting to the root of it.

That's where cupping comes in.

By decompressing tissue, increasing blood flow, and releasing restricted fascia, cupping gets to the layers that other approaches miss. The result? Less tension, more movement, and a neck that actually cooperates with your day.

If your neck has been telling you something, it might be time to listen β€” and get an actual plan.

"After undergoing rotator cuff surgery, I struggled with limited mobility and ongoing discomfort. Working with Lori has been a true game-changer in my recovery. Her deep knowledge of both massage therapy and shoulder injuries has helped me achieve milestones I didn't think were possible this soon.

What sets her apart is her clinical understanding of the body β€” she doesn't just treat symptoms, she gets to the root of the issue."
β€” Isabel E.

Post-surgical recovery is one of the most important β€” and most overlooked β€” places where massage therapy makes a real difference.

Let's talk about cupping β€” because it comes up in almost every transformation story we share.

Cupping uses suction to lift and separate tissue instead of compressing it. That lifting action brings blood flow to the area, helps release stuck fascia, and creates space for the muscle to actually relax.

For a lot of clients, it's the thing that finally works when everything else hasn't.

We've used it for shoulder injuries, IT band tightness, low back pain, neck tension, sciatica β€” you name it.

It can look intense. The marks it leaves are just blood flow coming to the surface β€” they're not bruises, and they fade within a few days.

If you've been curious about cupping, or if you've tried everything else and still aren't getting relief, it might be exactly what your body needs.
