And so it begins! PTSPORTSPRO is kicking off TRI weekend at the Huntington Bank Grand Rapids Triathlon🩷🩷🩷! First, PRACTICE SWIM, then EXPO/PACKET PICKUP, now KIDS TRI!

Today's WATER TIPS for tomorrow's RACE:
- gets 200-300 calories (solid/semi-solid) in at least 2 hours before your race start and a 100 calories (liquid/gel) 30 minutes before race start
- if wearing a wetsuit, l**e neck, armpits & groin to reduce friction/rubbing
- get in the water at 6a-630a to acclimatize
- flush water through your suit to reduce 'sticky' points
- practice 3-5 deep inhales with head above water for inhale & below water for exhale to reduce water anxiety

THIS WEEKEND, we TRI🩷! PTSportsPRO is excited to support the Huntington Bank Grand Rapids Triathlon as Official Medical Partner for this event! Find us on SATURDAY at the swim practice at 8a, at the expo/packet pickup and at the kids race! We are happy to provide your body with any last minute tune-ups and pre-race advice! Then on SUNDAY, find us post-race for a quick stretch out while you share your race stories! Also look for our team out on the course with Nicolas Reuben racing the 70.3, Todd Buckingham racing the OLYMPIC & Terence Reuben helping out myTeam Triumph - West Michigan Chapter pull a Captain on the SPRINT bike course!

Four runners crossed the same finish line at the Bayshore Marathon.

One just wanted to enjoy the day.

One fought to keep a Boston qualifying streak alive.

One accidentally qualified thanks to a new age group.

And one ran an incredible 2:59 marathon.

Up at 445a. On the road at 520a to the Tris4Health Bear Lake Triathlon. Racked & ready to roll at 730a. Unfortunately the weather bears had other ideas! A good call to cancel by 830a as stated in this sage advice:
"If you see a bear, never run or play dead immediately. Stop, remain calm, and back away slowly while keeping your eyes on the bear. Running can trigger a chase response, and bears can outrun racehorses."
So we kept our eyes on the weather bear as we remained calm and backed away slowly... and lived to race another day😎.
