Today, we celebrate 36 years of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)—a landmark civil rights law signed on July 26, 1990, that continues to protect the rights of people with disabilities and promote equal access, opportunity, and inclusion.

At MEC Disabilities, we honor the advocates, leaders, and community members whose voices and perseverance made the ADA possible. While we recognize how far we’ve come, we also remain committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring every person has the opportunity to thrive.
