Does your hip hurt more when you walk? Pay attention to that pattern.
Hip discomfort that increases with walking may be associated with joint stiffness, arthritis, muscle or tendon problems, or other issues involving the hip and surrounding structures. The location of the pain and when it appears can offer useful clues about what may be contributing to it.
If walking, climbing stairs, or getting up from a chair is becoming more uncomfortable, don't assume it's something you simply have to live with. Persistent hip pain deserves an appropriate evaluation to help identify the cause.
