When it comes to activities you enjoy, we want you to keep being able to do them confidently!

Too often, pain can make it feel like your only option is to stop doing the things you love. At Ridgeline, our goal is to help you understand what’s going on, feel more confident in your body, and explore ways to keep moving whenever possible.

Sometimes that means changing the movement, adjusting how you perform it, or finding another approach entirely.

Thoughtful movement. Individualized care. More options for doing what matters to you.

You don’t need to be constantly adding load for there to be progress.

Some weeks, progress might look like:
• Adding a few reps
• Moving through an increased range of motion
• Improving control or technique
• Needing less rest between sets
• Using the same weight and having it *feel better*

And sometimes, the right call is to use less weight because of recovery, training volume, stress, sleep, or everything else happening outside of the gym.

Strength isn’t built workout to workout. It’s built over time.

Instead of asking:
“Did I lift more than last week?”
➔ Zoom out and look at the bigger picture. This is where progress becomes a lot easier to see.

Choosing your weights doesn’t have to be a guessing game. Your last workout, your warm-up sets, the goal of the movement, and how you’re feeling today can all help guide the decision.

Training is meant to be responsive, not rigid. Save this one for the next time you’re staring at the weight rack wondering where to start.

What usually helps you decide when it’s time to go heavier, maintain, or back off?

Five years since treating my first patient as a physical therapist. Wild. I restructured my business in the first year so I can’t technically say Ridgeline is five years old but the heart, brain, and energy behind it is five years old.

I could write a million words sharing my reflections on what these years have taught me and meant to me. As I sit here with my five month old sleeping on my lap I am mostly just proud and thankful. We made it. Let’s look back at the years quickly.

2021: graduation, move to New Hampshire from North Carolina, and start seeing clients in July. Coached, babysat, dog sat and worked Uber Eats to pay the bills.

2022: rebranded to Ridgeline Physical Therapy and built out an office space in Seacoast Athletics that has now become home. Worked PRN home health for a bit…not my cup of tea 😅

2023: took a part time out-patient job in orthopedics and it was one of the best decisions I’ve made in these five years. A year of mostly just working. A lot.

2024: met my now husband and fully back in my own business full time. Pedal down, a big year of growth while also working on living a bit more outside of “work hours”

2025: more growth, almost constant waitlist or overbooking, planning a wedding, pregnant for nine months and all amazing “hurdles” to have to navigate

2026: started off by having a baby, hired on another team member and already back with a waitlist and looking into a promising rest of the year and beyond

What a wild ride business ownership is. My mentors, family, and clients are truly the best. I love a chance to reflect and man, there so much more I’d love to say. Nap time is over though so let’s just see what the next five bring.

Build a birth team of professionals. I had someone ready for every aspect of prep, pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery and parenting. The mental load these people all took off me has been incredible and allowed me to truly enjoy every step of the process.

Providers do YEARS of training to specialize in an aspect of this big life transition. Call them in!! I promise the investment is worth it. Asking for help is worth it. They’re better than any book, blog or friend’s advice.

I’ll share my birth team below and join us Saturday May 30th at 10am to hear from similar providers and create the birth team that is right for YOU.

& .sullivan_thebabywitch are teaming up to offer an incredible package for postpartum recovery, combining individualized bodywork and pelvic health rehab

The postpartum period is such a precious time with major body changes in all realms regardless of your birth experience.

The bodywork helps to rebalance the pelvis and body as a whole while reconnecting the mind-body partnership.

The physical therapy will solidify that new mind-body connection using education, movement, and internal treatment.

Instead of feeling lost in your new body, let us help you feel at home, strong, and capable to care for your child(ren) the way you want to.

Do you have other big fitness goals?? We LOVE working on that too. Helping you get back to working out, running, hiking, and more safely so you feel better than you ever have.

It’s possible. We promise.
