The root of not enoughness/ perfectionism is colonization and affirmations ain’t gonna heal it.

We hide behind shields of degrees, being the strong one, the one that needs nothing from no one. Underneath all that is just a need that wasn’t met and now our nervous system is doing its job trying to protect.

It’s time we let it know, it’s safe.
It’s time we went deep and healed with our ancestors by our sides.
It’s time we embody our abuelita’s strength.

Nothing like Pilates to humble your 🍑!!

How many times do we say, “yeah I’m all in!” But fear of falling, failing, stumbling is still holding you back?

It’s not a sign you are bad or faulty. On the contrary your nervous system is doing its job(to protect) but at some point you gotta take the reigns and tell it… “we are safe to try!”

🤘🏽Atypical Project: 7 part series exposing all the ways I’m not perfect but a messy AF rebel.

I’m not your typical Latina bc I constantly have to push back the colonizer’s lie that I don’t belong among my people because I’m different.

It’s a daily devotion to remind myself that I am enough. Oppressive systems will hope & bank that you doubt yourself, that you question your but our ancestors prayers run deeper. I am my abueltia’s prayers woven in the depths of the jungles and waters of Honduras 🇭🇳

I am Latina enough.
I am enough.
