Midway Recovery Systems Midway Recovery is a private, non-profit recovery program for chemically dependent adult men. We offer a 90-day residential program for men over the age of 21.

After successful completion of the 90-day program, clients are offered an extended care program that allows more time for a smoother transition into society. This program is individually designed based on compliance and employment. We believe all residents should have the right, privilege and easy access to a therapeutic environment conducive to developing a recovery plan that utilizes our professional staff and peer support groups.

That’s how long our Director, Nicole, has been in recovery.

Twenty-three years ago, she made a decision that changed the course of her life. Today, she dedicates that life to helping others find the same hope, healing, and freedom that recovery made possible for her.

At Midway Recovery Systems, Nicole doesn’t just lead the work she lives it. Her recovery journey is a daily reminder that transformation is possible, and her commitment to serving others is woven into everything we do.

Because of leaders like Nicole, Midway continues to grow its impact throughout our community. From serving hundreds of individuals seeking recovery, to expanding access to care, to creating programs like the Midway Mom Project that are changing the lives of mothers and children, her vision and dedication help make it all possible.

For 23 years, she has walked her own recovery journey. For countless others, she has helped light the path forward.

There are truly no words to express how excited and grateful we are for this moment.

Our new building is officially open, and with it comes the opportunity to serve our community in an even bigger way. This expansion means reaching more men, supporting more families, creating more healing, and helping bring more lives back together.

Our new facility is officially serving the Griffin community. After months of planning and building, we're here and we're ready to serve you.

This 1,500 square foot space brings recovery services directly to Spalding County:

✅ OUTPATIENT TREATMENT — for men transitioning to independence with ongoing support

✅ COMMUNITY PROGRAMMING — support groups, family sessions, educational workshops

✅ PEER MENTORSHIP — connecting people in recovery with people who understand

This isn't just a building. It's a promise that recovery doesn't end at a residential door. It's a gathering space for our community. It's proof that Griffin is committed to healing.

We have some exciting updates to share with our community and we couldn't be more grateful for the journey that brought us here.

We now have a brand-new 15-passenger van. An additional vehicle making it easier than ever to connect men in our community with the life-changing support they deserve.

For over 40 years, Midway Recovery Systems has been a safe harbor for men ready to reclaim their lives from addiction.

This new transportation means fewer barriers, more access, and more men getting the help they need.

That's what this work is all about.

Had the opportunity to visit Spalding County Correctional Institution with InSpalding-Spalding University—and I have to say, I was impressed.

The facility was spotless, structured, and intentional. Warden Eric Sellers walked us through the flow of the institution, with a strong focus on workforce development and preparing individuals for what comes next.

What stood out to me most is that this is about more than doing time—it’s about creating a real path forward.

And that’s where continued support matters.

At Midway Recovery Systems, we work with men on the treatment side—helping them address substance use and mental health, build life skills, and create a real foundation for long-term recovery.

Different spaces, same goal… real change.

This past weekend, we hosted our fundraising event, and wow… what a time.

It was such a powerful day filled with love, support, and so many meaningful moments. From the speakers, to the conversations, to everybody that came out and showed love, we are just so grateful.

Because of your support, we raised a total of $6,820.

Thank you to every single person who came, donated, shared, supported, and simply believed in what we are building. It truly means so much.

This is bigger than just one event. We are working to expand Midway Recovery Systems so that we can serve more men and support more families, and this weekend was a beautiful reminder that people really do care.

We are 𝟮 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 away from something incredibly powerful.

Midway Recovery is hosting a brunch experience designed to bring real awareness to the impact addiction has on men, families, and our entire community. Recovery is not just about getting clean — it’s about rebuilding dignity, structure, purpose, and identity.

This event is also a fundraising experience to support the expansion of Midway Recovery, allowing us to create more space, more resources, and more opportunity for men who are ready to rebuild their lives.
