Our Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) had a wonderful time cooking lunch for our residents in honor of June Dairy Month! The menu featured fluffy pancakes, cheesy scrambled eggs (Brooke Special), and crispy bacon—a delicious way to celebrate the dairy farmers and products that help make meals extra special.

Thank you to our amazing IDT members who assisted with cooking and serving up a fantastic lunch and helping make June Dairy Month a special celebration for everyone! Our residents love these special meals and interaction with IDT.

We are taking advantage of these beautiful sunny days! From spending time near the garden beds to sharing social time during parachute fun, there has been no shortage of smiles and fun.
Fresh air, warm weather, and great company make for the perfect combination. We love seeing our residents stay active, be engaged with one another, and enjoy all that summer has to offer.

🌟 Resident Hero: Anthony "Tony" Kerner
Through kindness, resilience, and a warm smile, our resident hero reminds us that strength comes in many forms. Their positive attitude, encouragement of others, and willingness to share stories and wisdom help make our facility feel like home. There isn't a day that goes by where Tony isn't seen greeting someone in the hallway or asking how they are doing.

🌟 Staff Hero: Emily Wilson
Our staff hero has been with us since April of 2023 and consistently goes above and beyond to provide compassionate care, support, and comfort to all of our residents. Their dedication, teamwork, and genuine concern for residents make a lasting difference each day and exemplify the heart of caregiving. Emily is often seen going out of her way to make residents comfortable, even if it is the smallest thing.

Together Tony and Emily represent the spirit of our community—showing us that heroism isn't about grand gestures, but about the daily acts of kindness, compassion, and service that bring people together.

Earlier this week we paused to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, commitment, and love of nation continue to protect the freedoms we cherish each and every day.

Our community came together for a special Memorial Day Program, led in partnership with our local VFW Post. Residents, staff, and families reflected, remembered, and paid tribute through speaking, music, and a moment of silence to honor the fallen.

We are grateful for the presence and support of the VFW members who joined us and helped make this ceremony meaningful for our residents—especially our veterans.

May we always remember that freedom is never free. ❤️🤍💙

🌸 Skilled Nursing Home Week 2026: Moments in Bloom 🌸

This week, our community came alive as residents, staff, and families celebrated Skilled Nursing Home Week through meaningful connection, creativity, and fun. Every day offered a chance for new memories to blossom!

🌿 Monday – Dirt Cup Making & Stepping Stone Creation

We kicked off the week by making delicious Dirt Cups and designing stepping stones, each one as unique as the residents who created them.

🌼 Tuesday – Painting Flower Pots

Residents shared laughter and creativity while painting colorful flower pots to brighten our community.

🎨🍪 Wednesday – Flower Cookies & Flower Bingo

A sweet midweek treat! Everyone enjoyed decorating flower-shaped cookies followed by a lively round of Flower Bingo.

🎶🌱 Thursday – Music by Volunteer Gary & Planting with the Scouts

Music filled the halls as we welcomed our Volunteer, Gary and later the local Scouts came to help our residents plant flowers and enjoy an afternoon of intergenerational connection. A special thank you to the Scouts for sprucing up the flower boxes outside of our resident rooms!

Thank you to our residents, families, and incredible staff for making this week truly bloom with warmth and togetherness. 💐

🌸 Mother’s Day Celebration 🌸
Sunday we had the joy of hosting a beautiful Mother’s Day Tea with our residents and their families. The room was filled with laughter, shared memories, warm hugs, and the simple joy of being together.

From delicate treats to tea and coffee, Sunday was all about honoring the mothers, grandmothers, mother-figures, and caregivers who have shaped our lives in countless ways. 💗

Thank you to the families who joined us and made the day extra special. And to our residents — your strength, stories, and hearts are the reason we celebrate.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us! 🌷✨
