With September here, there's a special excitement in the air. Before long, the temperatures will begin to cool, the trees will transform into beautiful shades of red, orange, and gold, and the season of gathering with family and friends will be upon us. ☀️➡️🍂

Autumn is a wonderful time to enjoy the beauty of our campus, take a relaxing walk, and look forward to all the traditions the season brings. From colorful scenery to upcoming holidays and special events, there's so much to enjoy in the months ahead.

We're excited to welcome another beautiful fall season and all the memories that come with it. Here's to crisp mornings, changing leaves, and spending time with the people who matter most 💚

Take a stroll through an amazing collection of classic cars, grab a delicious treat, listen to live music, and spend time with neighbors while enjoying the welcoming atmosphere of our campus. 😊

The best part? This event is FREE and open to the entire Holt community! Everyone is invited.

If you joined us last year, you know just how incredible this event was—and this year's promises to be just as much fun! We can't wait to welcome everyone back for another evening of beautiful cars, great food, and even better company.

🚗🌭 Hot Rods & Hot Dogs is BACK at Great Lakes...and it's going to be bigger than ever!

Mark your calendars because one of Holt, Michigan's favorite community traditions is returning on Tuesday, September 8!

Last year was one for the record books. We welcomed more than 160 classic cars to campus—shattering our previous record—and served over 800 hot dogs to residents, families, and guests! The incredible turnout, amazing vehicles, and community spirit made it an unforgettable evening. 💚

This year, we're hoping to make it even bigger!

Whether you're a classic car enthusiast, love a good hot dog, or simply enjoy spending time with friends and neighbors, this is an event you won't want to miss. Bring the whole family, admire some incredible vehicles, and enjoy a fun evening with the Great Lakes community 🚘🔥🌭

For Helen and Allen Holcomb, a honeymoon road trip to the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone sparked a lifetime of adventure. 🏔️🚙

Over the years, they visited 33 national parks, traveled with their children and grandchildren, and collected countless memories along the way. Now at Great Lakes Christian Homes, they continue sharing those stories with neighbors and reflecting on the beauty, faith, and family woven into their travels.

Looking for something to do? Our indoor activity room is one of the many places residents love to gather, relax, and enjoy time with friends. 😊

Whether it's a friendly game of pool, a competitive match of chess or checkers, or pulling out one of the many board games available, there's always something happening and someone ready to join in on the fun. 🎲💙

The activity room is a wonderful place to stay active, challenge your mind, share a few laughs, and build friendships with neighbors. It's just one more reason why life at Great Lakes is filled with opportunities for connection, recreation, and enjoyment.

🔥🍫 S’mores Day at Great Lakes! 🍫🔥

Last week, on Monday the 10th, our residents at Great Lakes enjoyed a delicious afternoon celebrating one of the sweetest summer traditions—S’mores Day! 😋

Everyone headed outside to enjoy the sunshine, good company, and, of course, plenty of gooey marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. 🍪🍫 It was the perfect way to spend time together and enjoy a little taste of summer!

There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and sticky fingers all around. We’d say it was a pretty sweet day! 💙
