We are so incredibly proud of our own Shannon Racculia-McConnell, PLEA’s Director of Family Services, for receiving this esteemed award.

Shannon truly exhibits the Heart of a Hound theme for 2026, “Access to Greatness” which spotlights individuals who have helped others access better health, wellness and life opportunities.

Our PLEA Family is so proud of Shannon and the work she does everyday to help our families connect to so many opportunities.

Congratulations Shannon!

Warning: Room 313 is getting spoooooooooky!! 👻✨

Our little artists have been hard at work making ghost crafts, and honestly, these phantoms are way too cute to be scary. 🎃 👻 🎨 😱

Sure, it's October, freezing cold, and practically howling wind outside, but Room 314 refuses to accept reality. We’re bringing the beach straight to PLEA by making edible sand. Who needs a sweater and a pumpkin spice latte when you can have a mouthful of graham crackers while living our best coastal life? 🏖️🥶🍪

🧠 Learning factor: 10/10
🧹 The desire the teachers have to clean up: Off the charts

Sensory play is going swimmingly! Send wipes. 🫠✌️

Room 357 is currently mastering their emotions using A Little Spot of Feeling, which is great, because we're currently feeling all of them before 9:00 AM. Who knew colorful little blobs could teach us so much about life? 😄 🤨 🤪 😫

Welcome to Room 333’s wellness retreat: Phase 1 is deep breathing and mindful stretching. Phase 2 is pure, unadulterated adrenaline running for your life under a giant rainbow parachute. Namaste, then run for your lives. 🌈🏃‍♀️🧘‍♀️

Room 319 is officially hosting a runway of absolute chaos because it’s silly dress-up day! 🎭✨

Fashion week in Milan won't know what hit it. 😘

Let’s give ’em applesauce! 🍎

Today’s project in Room 361: turning a mountain of fresh apples into liquid gold. It was a peel-ing good time and made the whole school smell apple-lutely delicious!

Verdict? This batch is awesome-sauce! 🍏🍂
