A lot of women wait until they are completely depleted before they let themselves slow down.

When the headache becomes constant.
When sleep is a mess.
When they are snapping at everyone.
When their body finally forces them to stop.

But rest is not a reward for getting everything done.

It is part of how you stay well enough to show up for your life.

This is not about adding another self-care task to your list. It is about building small moments of support into the life you already have.

Sometimes that starts with a treatment. Sometimes it starts with eating lunch before 3 p.m. Sometimes it starts with admitting that you cannot keep doing it all alone.

What would change if you stopped waiting for burnout to rest?

Back-to-school season can bring a lot of pressure, even when you are not the one going back to school.

The routines change. The mental load gets louder. Your own needs are usually the first thing to disappear from the calendar.

That is why this is a good time to simplify, not try to become a completely new person overnight.

Choose one anchor that makes your day feel more supported: a real breakfast, a protected bedtime, a weekly treatment, or even ten quiet minutes before you shift into evening mode.

Small systems can make a big difference when life gets busy.

Save this for when things start feeling chaotic!!

Five of my patients recently shared some very exciting news with me. They’re pregnant. ❤️❤️

So of course, I had to get a little something for each of them.

Supporting women on their fertility journey is incredibly special to me. There’s a lot that can happen between hoping for a positive test and finally seeing those two lines, and I’m grateful every time someone trusts me to be part of that journey.

These little onesies are ready for their new homes! Thank you so much to my friend for making them.

Before you call yourself lazy, check in with what your body has been carrying.

Summer can make everything feel harder when you are sleeping less, eating inconsistently, juggling kids being home, working through the heat, and still expecting yourself to function at full capacity.

That is not a character flaw.

It may be a sign that your body needs a different kind of support right now.

What feels hardest for you in summer: energy, sleep, digestion, or keeping a routine?

It's been a while, so let me re-introduce myself... Hi, I'm Jenny. 🙋‍♀️

I'm a mom of two active boys, an acupuncturist, and an herbalist.

I work with women who are tired of feeling exhausted, stressed, uncomfortable, and stuck in a cycle of managing symptoms without real answers.

Through my Harmonized Foundation Method, I combine acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition guidance, and lifestyle support to help women regulate their bodies, restore balance, and create sustainable health habits that fit real life.

But beyond the clinic...

I love traveling, concerts, great food, movies, and discovering new places around Houston. My playlists range from Frank Sinatra to Snoop Dogg, and I'll never say no to good dim sum. 😅

If you're new here, I'm glad you're here.

Drop a 👋 below and tell me where you're following from, or share one health goal you're working toward this summer.

Dry needling vs. acupuncture.

Few topics create more debate in the wellness and rehabilitation world. And honestly, I understand why.

The needles look the same because they are the same type of needle. Many of the locations being treated are also surprisingly similar.

So naturally, people start asking questions.

The conversation becomes much less confusing when you stop focusing on the needle and start looking at the training, philosophy, and treatment approach behind it.

PS. I share more thoughts on dry needling and acupuncture in my latest blog - link in bio!

This isn't about saying one profession is good and another is bad.

It's about helping patients make informed decisions about their care.

You should always feel comfortable asking a practitioner:
• What training have you completed?
• How many hours of needling experience do you have?
• How often do you perform needling treatments?
• What would happen if a complication occurred?

Those are reasonable questions. And any qualified practitioner should be comfortable answering them.

Have you ever received dry needling, acupuncture, or both?
