🍄 And yup… I made them in the air fryer.

Mushrooms are one of the most underrated foods in the produce aisle. They’re low in calories, versatile, and packed with nutrients that support overall health.

Just one serving (about 1 cup cooked) provides:
✔️ Vitamin D – especially those exposed to UV light
✔️ Protein (~3g)
✔️ Selenium (~18 mcg) – a powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress

Ozempic hair loss 😭😭😭

GLP-1 medications can absolutely be life-changing for metabolic health, but the resulting weight loss can trigger temporary hair shedding, known as telogen effluvium. GLPs can also induce significant malnutrition, leading to hair breakage and poor hair growth.

The good news is that in most cases, this is reversible — and there are ways to support healthier hair growth while continuing your progress.

What I recommend to my patients:
• Prioritize protein intake daily (hair is primarily made of protein)

• Check vitamin D, iron, thyroid and treat if needed
• Manage stress and sleep, both of which impact the hair growth cycle

Dinner doesn’t have to be a perfectly plated, time-consuming meal to support your health goals. Sometimes a balanced charcuterie plate is exactly what works best.

A simple board with protein + fiber + healthy fats can help support satiety, blood sugar stability, muscle maintenance, and overall nutrition — without spending hours cooking.

Tonight’s lineup:
• Greek yogurt for protein, calcium, and probiotics
• Bell peppers for vitamin C, antioxidants, and carotenoids that support skin and immune health
• Cherry tomatoes for lycopene, potassium, and additional vitamin C. Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that has been associated with cardiovascular health and protection against oxidative stress.
• Strawberries for fiber, polyphenols, and vitamin C
• Carrots for beta carotene (vitamin A precursor) to support eye and skin health
• Black grapes and cherries for anthocyanins — antioxidant compounds that give these fruits their deep purple/red color and help reduce oxidative stress
