🍄 And yup… I made them in the air fryer.
Mushrooms are one of the most underrated foods in the produce aisle. They’re low in calories, versatile, and packed with nutrients that support overall health.
Just one serving (about 1 cup cooked) provides:
✔️ Vitamin D – especially those exposed to UV light
✔️ Protein (~3g)
✔️ Selenium (~18 mcg) – a powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress
✔️ Fiber (~2g)
Mushrooms are also one of the few foods that naturally contain ergothioneine, a unique antioxidant that may help protect cells from damage and support healthy aging.
To make these:
