Learning that extends beyond the classroom!

Last week, some of our graduate clinicians had the opportunity to participate in Project T.A.L.K. Summer Camp at the Texas Hearing Institute. This unique summer camp provides children with hearing differences an engaging environment to strengthen their listening, language, and communication skills. Experiences like these help prepare our students to become compassionate, confident speech-language pathologists through meaningful community partnerships and real-world learning.🐾❣️

Our Clinical Educators, Nathalie Lebrun, MA, CCC-SLP, and Alexandra Trevino, MS, CCC-SLP, recently presented a two-night course, Fundamentals in Counseling for Speech-Language Pathologists. The class focused on building counseling skills. An essential competency that helps SLPs provide compassionate, person-centered care and better support clients and their families throughout the therapy journey.
