Time has flown byโI can't believe it's already August! ๐๐ Before we know it, students will be heading back to school. We hope every child has a safe, successful, and exciting school year!
As quickly as this year has passed, it's also time for us to begin preparing for Christmas here at Grace Ridge.
Nearly 90% of our residents do not have family members who are able to visit them or provide Christmas gifts. For many, the holiday season can be especially difficult as it brings feelings of loneliness, painful memories, or the heartache of missing loved ones. Living with a mental illness presents unique challenges every day, and at Grace Ridge, our mission is to ensure every resident feels valued, cared for, and truly part of a family.
We are now accepting Christmas donations to help make this holiday season joyful and memorable for our residents. Some wonderful donation ideas include clothing (shirts, jackets, hats, socks, and gloves), shoes, art supplies, card games, new and unopened beauty products, toiletries, and other everyday essentials that many of us may take for granted.
If you're unable to donate items, monetary donations are also greatly appreciated through Cash App. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us bring comfort, joy, and a little extra Christmas magic to someone who truly needs it.
Donations can be dropped off at our office at 3909 Hill Drive in Jonesboro! You can also call the office at 870-935-5961, my cell at 870-227-4502, or Susan's cell at 870-824-1851 if you have any questions about donating.
Thank you for helping us make this Christmas a special one for the residents of Grace Ridge. Your kindness and generosity mean more than words can express. โค๏ธ๐
