Compassion can make an unforgettable difference.

Congratulations to Kelly, RN, and Emily, RN, of Labor & Delivery, who were recognized with DAISY Foundation Awards for Extraordinary Nurses for the exceptional care they provided to a patient experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a baby.

The DAISY Award is an international recognition program that celebrates nurses for the extraordinary, compassionate care they provide to patients and families every day. Recipients are nominated by patients, families and colleagues whose lives have been touched by their care.

The patient shared how Kelly remained by her side through an emotional delivery and a life-threatening emergency, offering comfort, reassurance and a hand to hold. She also recognized Emily for taking the time to listen, connect with her and help her feel less alone as she navigated an unimaginable experience.

For this patient, it was more than the care they provided. It was their presence, compassion and genuine connection that stayed with her.

Congratulations, Kelly and Emily, and thank you for making such a meaningful difference when it mattered most.

Practice, prepare, perform. 🩺

Inside the Katherine L. Pinard Clinical Simulation Center at Jupiter Medical Center, our clinical teams can train for real-life patient care in an immersive environment designed to mirror the hospital setting.

Located in our new Patient Care Tower, the center features three high-fidelity simulation suites modeled after medical/surgical, critical care/cardiac and obstetrics/NICU units. Using lifelike patient simulators and hospital-grade equipment, nurses, physicians and allied health professionals can practice everything from routine care to complex and emergency scenarios.

This hands-on training gives our teams the opportunity to sharpen clinical skills, strengthen communication and teamwork, and build confidence before those skills are needed at the bedside.

Because being ready for the moments that matter starts with how we prepare for them.

From 3 pounds to NICU graduate! 🎓

After 71 days in our NICU, sweet Nathanael is heading home!

Born at just 29 weeks and 3 days gestation, Nathanael arrived on June 1 weighing 3 pounds and measuring just 14 inches long. His NICU journey included time on oxygen, learning how to feed on his own and overcoming high blood pressure with the support of his care team.

Along the way, Nathanael quickly became a familiar face in the NICU. His nurses knew him well, loved their snuggles with him and enjoyed taking him on strolls around the unit.

Now, more than two months later, Nathanael is going home weighing more than 7 pounds! His family shared that while they are thrilled to finally bring him home, they will miss the team who cared for him throughout his journey.

Congratulations to Nathanael and his family on this very special NICU graduation! We’ll miss you, little guy, but we’re so excited for everything ahead.

A well-deserved Sunshine Award for a dynamic duo!

Congratulations to Austyn Scotten and Jordan Farinacci, recipients of the Sunshine Award! The Sunshine Award recognizes allied health care team members who go above and beyond to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their families through extraordinary care and compassion.

Austyn and Jordan were nominated by the family of patient Sammy Montoya, who spent 32 days at Jupiter Medical Center. Sammy’s family shared how the pair found a special way to connect with him, turning therapy into something he looked forward to. They got him moving, singing and smiling again, even marching through the halls to “The Ants Go Marching.”

By the time Sammy was ready to go home, he had made incredible progress and formed a bond with Austyn and Jordan that his family won’t soon forget.

Congratulations, Austyn and Jordan, and thank you for bringing joy, hope and plenty of sunshine to Sammy and his family.
