Debe is back in the big blue! 🌊🐢

This juvenile green sea turtle was rescued from Dubois Park after becoming entangled in fishing line, resulting in the loss of the right front flipper. After receiving dedicated care from our hospital team, Debe has made a remarkable recovery and is officially swimming free once again! 💙

Debe’s story is an important reminder of why properly disposing of trash and fishing line matters. Discarded fishing line can entangle marine life, causing severe injuries and even death.

By keeping our waterways free of debris, we can help protect sea turtles and other marine animals! Here’s to another sea turtle back where they belong! 🌊

No tricks, just a treat! Ghost is back in the big blue! 👻🐢🌊

This juvenile green sea turtle was rescued in Delray Beach after becoming entangled in a ghost net alongside a shark, suffering deep wounds to the left front flipper that ultimately required a partial amputation. After receiving dedicated care from our hospital team, Ghost has officially made a splash back into the ocean! 💙

Speaking of spooky celebrations, join us this weekend, October 17th and 18th, for HallowMarine at Loggerhead Marinelife Center! Enjoy two days of family friendly activities, ocean inspired fun, and plenty of Halloween excitement! 🎃🐢

Here’s to a happy ending for Ghost and a spooktacular weekend ahead! 🌊
