Today, we pause to thank the founders of Katy Birth Center for their years of dedication, compassion, and service to families throughout our community.

Through their vision and commitment to the Midwives Model of Care, they have helped create a place where families felt supported, empowered, and cared for during one of life's most important journeys. Their impact will be felt for generations to come.

As they step into a well-deserved next chapter, we are honored to continue the legacy they built. Our doors remain open, and we are excited to continue welcoming new and growing families with some of the most experienced and trusted midwives in the Katy area.

In those first sacred seconds after birth, everything shifts. Time slows, emotions rise, and a brand new story begins, unfiltered, powerful, beautifully raw and tender.

This is the heart of Midwifery care.
It’s more than birth.
It’s presence. It’s trust. It’s care that holds you from the time you meet your Midwife until the time you meet your baby. 🤍

It’s never really “goodbye”… it’s just “see you later.”

Six-week visits always carry that quiet mix of emotions. There’s so much joy in seeing how far everyone has come, the confidence, the healing, the tiny (and not-so-tiny) changes in such a short time. And at the same time, there’s that soft sadness knowing our regular visits are coming to an end.

Walking alongside this family has been such an honor. They’ve made it easy to love what I do.

Join us for a relaxed morning of connection, conversation, and community. This gathering is free and open to everyone — whether you’ve birthed with us, are newly postpartum, or just looking for a welcoming space to connect.
We’ll start with a brief guided discussion on overcoming challenges and difficulties in motherhood, followed by plenty of time to visit, share experiences, and get to know other moms in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Bring a friend, bring your baby, and come as you are. We can’t wait to see you there!

Childbirth education classes like Birth Boot Camp are especially valuable for families planning an out-of-hospital birth (home birth or birth center) because they focus on preparation, confidence, and partner involvement in a way that truly supports physiologic birth.

We talk often about VBAC rates — somewhere around 70–80%.
We quote the numbers. We calculate the odds.

But what we don’t do is celebrate the mothers who do the work —
who labor deeply, courageously —
and whose path, in the end, becomes another cesarean.

Sometimes redemption looks like a vaginal birth after cesarean.

Sometimes redemption looks like saying,
“I have done my work and now... we pivot.”

It was a privilege and an honor to walk alongside this mother —
a woman whose strength was not measured by the way her baby was born,
but by her presence,
her endurance,
and her steady, informed choice.
