🌟Employee Spotlight🌟

Introducing, 🥁Amanda Elliott!!

Amanda Elliott grew up in a military family, raised by her single father from fourth grade. She married into the military and has lived all across the country, but Texas always felt special. It’s her third time living here. Texas is where she met her husband, had their son, and where her dad and stepmom retired. Texas is home.

Amanda has a 10-year-old son and two dogs: a black Lab and a Beagle/Aussie mix. She earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University and a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. She discovered ABA by chance and fell in love with it, leading her to earn a certification in Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Today, Amanda is a BCBA at the Temple location, which she calls “the best location.” Initially planning to work in social work, she was recruited into ABA by another company while working at Education Connection. She met Kristi Tindell and admired her ABA philosophy, which led her to join CTBS.

Military relocations took her family to Tennessee and Missouri, where she worked at a clinic and provided in-home ABA services for five years. She always hoped to return to CTBS and reached out to Kristi when stationed back at Fort Hood.

Outside work, Amanda is a full-time soccer mom. Her son plays competitively, making soccer a year-round family affair. She says, “watching him grow as a player, teammate, and person is rewarding, making every practice and tournament worthwhile.”

Fun fact: Amanda has lived in seven states and worked as a BCBA in three!

ABA has evolved over the years, yet misconceptions based on outdated practices still linger. We hope to uncover the truth about ABA and answer the question, “What is ABA?” ABA is not only for autism, nor is it intended to “fix” anyone, it is a science devoted to understanding behavior and using that understanding to solve socially meaningful problems.

🌟Employee Spotlight🌟

Introducing,🥁Ileana Martinez!!

Ileana was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, as the oldest sister of 8! She moved to Texas four years ago due to her husband’s military service. She is a proud dog mom and values the connection she has with her furry companion.

Ileana enjoys attending Broncos and Nuggets games whenever she is in Colorado. She also finds joy in reading her Bible, hiking, and taking road trips with her husband. Currently, she is pursuing her degree to become a BCBA at Capella University.

One of Ileana’s greatest joys is being an aunt and an older sister. Teaching kids has always been her passion, and she has dedicated six years to this field. She feels that God has called her to this work, which has not only enriched her understanding of children but has also taught her a great deal about herself.

She shares her personal devotion: “May my words point to God, my joy reflect His love, and my peace remind others that He is near.” She shares this sentiment with her coworkers, clients, and everyone in her life, emphasizing her commitment to spreading positivity and faith.
