Introducing, đ„Amanda Elliott!!
Amanda Elliott grew up in a military family, raised by her single father from fourth grade. She married into the military and has lived all across the country, but Texas always felt special. Itâs her third time living here. Texas is where she met her husband, had their son, and where her dad and stepmom retired. Texas is home.
Amanda has a 10-year-old son and two dogs: a black Lab and a Beagle/Aussie mix. She earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University and a graduate degree in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. She discovered ABA by chance and fell in love with it, leading her to earn a certification in Behavior Analysis from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Today, Amanda is a BCBA at the Temple location, which she calls âthe best location.â Initially planning to work in social work, she was recruited into ABA by another company while working at Education Connection. She met Kristi Tindell and admired her ABA philosophy, which led her to join CTBS.
Military relocations took her family to Tennessee and Missouri, where she worked at a clinic and provided in-home ABA services for five years. She always hoped to return to CTBS and reached out to Kristi when stationed back at Fort Hood.
Outside work, Amanda is a full-time soccer mom. Her son plays competitively, making soccer a year-round family affair. She says, âwatching him grow as a player, teammate, and person is rewarding, making every practice and tournament worthwhile.â
Fun fact: Amanda has lived in seven states and worked as a BCBA in three!
Thank you, Amanda!!
