🔟 10 THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ASPIRE! 💙
As we celebrate 10 years of Aspire, we’re sharing 10 things you may not know about the journey that brought us here—and the people who have made Aspire what it is today!
1️⃣ Aspire is a local, woman-owned business.
Aspire was founded by Dr. Joslyn Mason McCoy, who dreamed of creating a place where children, families, and clinicians could thrive together.
2️⃣ Aspire opened its doors in 2016!
Dr. McCoy was devastated to miss Aspire’s very first day because of illness. But it came as no surprise that the dedicated team stepped up and made sure the first day went off without a hitch. 💙
3️⃣ Seven of Aspire’s original 10 employees are still with us today!
That’s more than a decade of dedication, growth, and commitment to the children and families we serve. What a legacy!
4️⃣ Aspire got its name from one of our original employees, Mrs. Whitney Newton!
Originally, Dr. McCoy envisioned a logo featuring ABC building blocks, and “Aspire Behavioral Center” seemed like the perfect fit. As the vision grew to serve children, adolescents, and young adults, the logo evolved into the kite we know today. The name, however, stayed—and we love it more than ever.
Aspire perfectly represents our mission: to help every child reach higher and achieve their potential. 🪁
5️⃣ Aspire was the first interdisciplinary clinic in Acadiana to bring psychology, counseling, ABA therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy together under one roof!
We’re proud of the collaborative care that has been part of Aspire’s identity from the very beginning.
Therapy Services Language Specialists, Inc.
6️⃣ Aspire was the only Behavioral Health Center of Excellence-accredited ABA center in Louisiana from 2019–2026.
This recognition reflected our ongoing commitment to quality, evidence-based care, and the children and families we serve.
7️⃣ Aspire was just three years old when COVID-19 changed everything.
Because of advanced preparation, creativity, and an incredible team effort, Aspire was able to provide uninterrupted services in the home setting for families who needed us most.
Who remembers those days? 🙋♀️
8️⃣ We believe a shortage of service providers should never be a barrier to receiving necessary care.
That’s why Aspire has invested in training the next generation of behavior analysts. Since 2016, our fieldwork training program has helped produce 41 new behavior analysts—and counting!
9️⃣ 25 of our 27 current Licensed Behavior Analysts are “home grown.” 🌱
They started their Aspire journey as Registered Line Technicians and completed their supervised fieldwork with experienced Licensed Behavior Analyst supervisors right here at Aspire. We couldn’t be prouder!
🔟 Aspire now has FIVE locations—and every building has a story of its own!
Our Demanade location was once a family-owned oil company. Pinhook was a medical clinic. Eunice and New Iberia were churches. And Carencro was once home to SLEMCO.
And those stories are just the beginning! Stay tuned as we take you inside each location and share the unique history behind the places we now call Aspire. 🏠💙
What started as one dream in 2016 has grown into an incredible community of children, families, clinicians, therapists, and support staff.
Ten years of service. Ten years of growth. Ten years of believing in what’s possible.
And we’re just getting started. 💙🪁
