Explore Vikāsa ✨
Expansion. Blossoming. Unfolding.

Vikāsa (विकास) is a Sanskrit word meaning expansion, growth, or blossoming. It speaks to the natural unfolding that occurs when we create space for something new to emerge.

Growth often begins with an open heart and a willingness to step beyond what is familiar into what is possible.

Traveling through France was such an all encompassing experience of vikasa for me!

When we slow down, breathe deeply, and create space for what is ready to unfold.

In our Saturday morning Gentle Yoga & Breathwork class, we’ll explore Vikāsa through mindful movement, expansive breath, and practices that help us open to greater ease and possibility.

An invitation to expand and blossom into more of who you already are.

Love,
Christine 🩵

Happy Monday, radiant souls 🌞✨

I think many of us put pressure on ourselves to wake up feeling energized, positive, and ready to take on the week. Then when we don’t, it’s easy to assume something is wrong or that we’re already falling behind.

The truth is, some mornings are harder than others. You might wake up tired, carrying stress from last week, worrying about something ahead, or simply feeling a little off. That’s part of being human 🧘‍♀️

What matters most is how you care for yourself from there.

Your nervous system doesn’t need perfection. It responds to the small things we do throughout the day that remind our bodies we’re safe, supported, and allowed to slow down when needed.

If today feels heavy, be gentle with yourself. Start with the next right thing, not the entire week. Wishing you a peaceful Monday and a week filled with a little more ease.

With love,
Christine 🩵

Explore Hṛdaya ✨
The heart center.

Hṛdaya (हृदय) is the Sanskrit word for heart. Not only the physical heart, but the deeper center of our being,
the seat of consciousness, our spiritual heart.

The place where we experience connection, compassion, gratitude, and a sense of belonging to something greater than ourselves.

Sitting in the quiet beauty of the Tuscan countryside, I was reminded that the heart often speaks most clearly when we slow down enough to listen. Away from the noise, the rushing, and the constant doing, there is a steadier rhythm waiting beneath it all. Yoga invites us back to this place.

In tomorrow’s Gentle Yoga & Breathwork class, we’ll explore Hṛdaya through mindful movement, conscious breathing, and moments of stillness that help us reconnect with ourselves from the inside out.

An invitation to soften, to listen and to return to your heart.

If your nervous system were a person, it would be your protective best friend.
The one that’s always watching, always anticipating, always trying to make sure you’re okay 🩵

When your mind won’t slow down, when your body feels tense, when you’re exhausted but still wired, it’s not random. That’s your system stepping in, doing what it believes it needs to do to keep you safe.

The hard part is that over time, that protection can start to feel like it’s working against you. Like your body won’t relax, no matter how much you try.
But nothing is wrong with you.
Your system just hasn’t learned that it’s safe to let its guard down yet.

When you start to understand it this way, the approach shifts. It’s no longer about forcing calm or pushing through. It becomes about building trust with your body again.

Small, consistent signals of safety. The way you breathe, how you move, how you nourish yourself, the environments you place yourself in.

That’s how your “best friend” starts to soften.

Take a moment to swipe through and notice what stands out to you. There’s usually one area your body has been asking for. 🧘‍♂️

Today we honor and remember those who courageously served and gave their lives, and we hold deep compassion for the families, loved ones, and lives forever impacted by war and loss. 🤍

No matter our different perspectives or experiences, today is a reminder of the value of human life, freedom, peace, and connection.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and reflective Memorial Day. ✨

Christine

Most self-care only scratches the surface. 🩵

You can eat healthy, take supplements, work out, get enough sleep… and still feel exhausted, anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or “off.”

Why?

Because true healing doesn’t happen when only one part of you is being supported. The body responds when you begin caring for yourself physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, socially, and environmentally.

A lot of people are trying so hard to feel better while unknowingly missing the very thing their body is craving most.

➡️ Swipe through the 6 types of self care and notice which one stands out to you the most.

Your body is usually trying to tell you something long before your mind catches up.

🩵 It’s Mental Health Awareness Month, and I just want to say this to anyone who’s been quietly carrying a lot:

Just because you’ve gotten good at hiding it doesn’t mean it’s not heavy.
Just because you keep showing up doesn’t mean you don’t need rest.
And just because you’re high-functioning doesn’t mean you’re not struggling.

This month is about normalizing conversations we should’ve been having all along. Your mental health matters. Your story matters. You matter. 🧠❤️‍🩹

You’re not alone. Not now, not ever.
Send to anyone who may need this gentle reminder today. 💫

This conversation is filled with compassion, hope, practical wisdom, and a powerful reminder that healing doesn’t happen through punishment or perfection. It begins through safety, self-awareness, and learning to trust your body again.

If you’ve ever felt frustrated because you’re “doing everything right” but still don’t feel well, this episode is for you.
