Tri-County Human Services, Inc. Providing Substance Use and Mental Health Services, Prevention, Treatment, and Education in Polk, Hardee, and Highlands counties (Florida, USA)

Tri-County Human Services, Inc. is a beacon of hope and support in Polk, Highlands, and Hardee County, Florida, dedicating five decades to fostering positive change in the community. Our 501(c)(3) non-profit status underscores our commitment to serving others, offering evidence-based programs that have garnered recognition and awards. At the heart of our mission lies prevention, particularly targeting at-risk youth in local middle and high schools. By educating not only students but also local government officials and businesses, we illuminate the profound impact of drugs, alcohol, and untreated mental health issues on our communities. In addition to our prevention efforts, we provide essential residential services for both men and women. Remarkably, over 80% of the babies born to women in our care are born drug-free, a testament to our holistic approach to healing. Our impact extends beyond individual lives; it saves taxpayer dollars by steering program graduates away from the criminal justice system. By empowering individuals to avoid arrest, trial, and incarceration, we alleviate the burden on the state and ensure families remain intact. The Highlands Outpatient Facility stands as a pillar of mental health care, catering to individuals as young as two years old. We believe in addressing mental health concerns early, offering a lifeline to those in need. Furthermore, our commitment to community safety extends to providing classes for individuals grappling with DUIs and substance abuse-related driving issues. Through education and support, we strive to empower individuals to make better choices and reclaim their driving privileges responsibly. Above all, our services are delivered with unwavering privacy, respect, and care for every individual and their family. Our CARF certification with highest honors reflects our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of care and professionalism. At Tri-County Human Services, Inc., we believe in the transformative power of compassion and support, one life at a time.
