DDRC's Day Program services recently enjoyed a fantastic ice cream social at Clement Park in Littleton, hosted by the Weiland Community Support Group. Fun, friendship, and delicious treats were enjoyed by all!

🎮 Leveling Up in Real Life

10th grader Louie is a Minecraft enthusiast, but his biggest wins are happening off-screen. Through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy with DDRC Behavioral Health Services, he has built confidence in communication, self-advocacy, friendships, and independent living skills.

“Louie made more progress with DDRC in two weeks than he did in an entire year with another provider,” Louie's father says, crediting DDRC's approach and the trust and rapport built by DDRC Behavior Analyst Matt.

🚒 A Visit to Remember at Summit County Fire Station!

You have to admit, seeing a big, shiny fire truck loaded with hoses and equipment is pretty impressive! DDRC Day Program had an opportunity to visit the Summit County Fire Station, where first responders led them on a tour of the facility. 👨‍🚒

Individuals learned that first responders do much more than fight fires. Meeting these dedicated professionals reminded everyone just how important first responders are to keeping our communities safe. ❤️

Recently, several individuals in DDRC's Day Program eagerly rolled up their sleeves to learn how smoothies are made and what it's like to work on a food truck. Thanks to the Peace & Humanity Smoothie Bus, they received a behind-the-scenes look at the bus in action. 🚌

They learned about fresh ingredients, food safety, and preparation while discovering how rewarding it is to create something that brings smiles to others. DDRC and the participants are grateful for this fun and educational experience.

Peace & Humanity Smoothie Bus creates employment opportunities for people with disabilities and youth while serving nutritious smoothies throughout the Denver metro area. 💙
