The Lansing Regional Chamber Political Action Committee (LRC-PAC) today announced its endorsement of Harold Pope for the 74th State House District.

Harold Pope brings a strong record of leadership and problem-solving to the race. As a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps, he developed a commitment to service and accountability. At Ford Motor Company, he worked closely with union employees to solve production challenges and improve operations, giving him firsthand experience in finding practical solutions and delivering results. We are proud to endorse his campaign.

Shining a Spotlight on Our June Member Mixer at Wharton Center for Performing Arts.

Our June Member Mixer at Wharton Center for Performing Arts brought members together for a wonderful evening of networking and great food from Morton's Fine Catering. Guests shared experiences as entrepreneurs and business owners, with conversations centered around business growth, community connections, and the value of chamber membership, making for an engaging and memorable evening.

The event also featured an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour that took guests across the stage, behind the curtain, and into the dressing rooms, offering an insider's look at what goes into bringing world-class performances to life. Attendees learned that Wharton Center will host approximately 270 events during the 2025–2026 season, serving more than 200,000 patrons, while supporting 25,000 learners through educational programming and engaging more than 200 dedicated volunteers.

Ingham County Sheriff's Office Scott Wriggelsworth has been named sheriff of the year by the Michigan Sheriffs' Association.

Wriggelsworth, a former command officer in the East Lansing Police Department , was first elected sheriff in 2016.

We were honored to welcome Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, U.S. Senate candidate, to our Meet the Candidate Series.

Dr. El-Sayed shared his extensive background in public health and outlined his vision for a stronger, healthier Michigan. He spoke on expanding Medicare coverage for all, eliminating medical debt, and ensuring guaranteed healthcare access for every American. The conversation also touched on the long-term solvency of Social Security, how to responsibly fund these priorities, and the critical role of renewable energy in modernizing our technology and infrastructure.

A big thank you to LaFontaine Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT Lansing for hosting our Lansing-Delhi Township Business Roundtable this week!

LaFontaine has seen remarkable growth in our region, expanding from two to seven dealerships with many dedicated employees across each one, and we truly appreciate them welcoming us in. We got several updates from the City of Lansing one was on all the road construction happening this summer and it goes beyond just the roads. Underground infrastructure is being addressed as well, and the city is working hard to make sure everything gets fixed properly while keeping people able to get where they need to go throughout the process.

Speaking of summer, there is a lot to look forward to in our community, including the river trail and live music, so keep your eyes open for all that is coming up. We also went deeper into our community profiles provided by LEAP, focusing on Delhi and Lansing and having some really meaningful conversations about how we want to grow, where we need to be, and what that path looks like together. We talked about the stock market and the broader economy as well, and what it's going to take to get to a place that feels affordable for everyone in our region. There were also so many great events shared by those in the room.
