πŸŽ₯ RECOVERY STORIES FROM THE RECOVERY CELEBRATION

At the 2025 Recovery Celebration, members of our community shared their personal recovery stories so others could hear a message of hope.

Today we're sharing a story from Michael Granados.

Michael reflects on a journey that included years of substance use, loss, relapse, and ultimately finding his way back to recovery. He speaks openly about the pain of feeling rejected and how recovery gave him something he never expected: the freedom to be fully himself.

In this video, Michael reminds us that recovery isn't just about leaving substances behind. It's about finding joy, building genuine friendships, and discovering that you can laugh, celebrate, and live authentically without needing to change who you are.

Everyone deserves a place where they are accepted, supported, and valued for exactly who they are.

πŸ’œ Thank you, Michael, for sharing your story and for showing that recovery can open the door to a life filled with connection, authenticity, and hope.

πŸŽ₯ RECOVERY STORIES FROM THE RECOVERY CELEBRATION

At the 2025 Recovery Celebration, members of our community shared their personal recovery stories so others could hear a message of hope.

Today we're sharing a story from Liliana Suprgeon.

Liliana is a person in long-term recovery who celebrates nine years this July. As a first-generation Latina, she shares how difficult it can be to find recovery and treatment spaces where people feel represented, understood, and connected to their culture and community.

In this video, Liliana reminds us that recovery is about so much more than abstinence. It's about reclaiming your life, rebuilding your future, and creating opportunities for others to see themselves reflected in spaces of healing and hope.

Every recovery journey is unique, and every person deserves access to support that honors their experiences, values, and culture.

πŸ’œ Thank you, Liliana, for sharing your story and for helping build a recovery community where everyone belongs.

πŸ™ Thank you to the New Mexico Doula Association () for supporting recovery in our community.

The New Mexico Doula Association generously sponsored the 2025 Recovery Celebration and also gave something just as meaningful: their time, creativity, and presence.

Their team created a beautiful community altar that offered a place for reflection, remembrance, and healing throughout the day. It became a meaningful space where people could pause, honor loved ones, and connect with one another.

Their generosity was made even more meaningful knowing that they were grieving the loss of one of their own members to su***de. Even in the midst of that loss, they showed up for our community with compassion, kindness, and open hearts.

We are deeply grateful to the New Mexico Doula Association for their sponsorship, their partnership, and the care they brought to the Recovery Celebration. Thank you for reminding us that healing happens in community.
