Yesterday, we took time to remember and celebrate the unknown donor who gave Jess the gift of her first kidney transplant.

Although she never knew your name, she has never forgotten your incredible gift. Because of your selfless decision, Jess was given years of life, countless memories, and precious time with the people she loves most.

Now that Jess has received a second kidney transplant, it doesn’t lessen what you gave her. Your gift will always be part of her story. Those 15 years were only possible because of your generosity, and they led her to this next chance at life.

We will never stop celebrating the life you gave Jess, and we will honor your memory every year with gratitude, love, and remembrance.

Some gifts can never be repaid—they can only be cherished. You will never be forgotten. 💚🩺

*This is a photo from a few years ago as she is still recovering from the transplant but her smile is still shining bright! 😊

Last December, actor, playwright, and filmmaker, Jesse Eisenburg, transformed a stranger's life by donating a kidney.

Jesse, who's best known for starring in films such as Zombieland and Now You See Me, has talked lots about what it was like to donate - saying how easy the process was, and how quickly he recovered.

"To me it was a no-brainer. My sacrifice was a brief hospital stay, a week of discomfort, and five weeks of not picking up my kid."

In the UK, over 7,000 people are on the waiting list for a kidney transplant and around six people die every week waiting for a kidney. Donating a kidney to someone in urgent need is an extraordinary act of compassion and selflessness. It has the power to completely transform, and even save, a life.

Jesse - you are amazing. Thank you for being so open about your kidney donation - we know it'll get more people thinking about living kidney donation and potentially making that life-changing donation.

It has almost been a week since Jess received her kidney transplant! 🫘

Jess is a true warrior. Through every challenge over the past three years, she has faced each day with incredible strength, resilience, and a smile that inspires us all. Watching her take more steps each day, in the hospital and now at home, has been amazing.

A special thank you to Bill Hayes for joining the kidney voucher program and selflessly donating his kidney to another recipient, helping Jess move up the national transplant list. His incredible generosity played a vital role in making this extraordinarily rare match possible, and our family will be forever grateful.

Our family is profoundly grateful to the selfless kidney donor and their loved ones. During an unimaginable time of loss, they gave Jess the greatest gift imaginable; the gift of life. We will honor their memory and carry our gratitude with us every day.

Jess is truly in awe of the love and support she has received. Every prayer, message, donation, and kind gesture has meant the world to our family.

Thank you to those who surprised Jess with the Welcome Home signs. They are a reminder that we have never walked this journey alone. There are so many more names that belong on the “Team Jess” signs, and we are forever grateful to everyone who has supported Jess.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for continuing to pray for Jess as she recovers. We couldn’t have made it through this journey without you. 💚🤍

The past few days have been quite the whirlwind to say the least. Yesterday, Jess was at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center being interviewed for a Kidneys For Kids upcoming series “The Darker The Night”.

Late last night, 7/2/26 Jess received a call from DHMC saying there has been a kidney match for her that passed all the tests and rare antibodies to match with Jess. Bags were packed and Mark Kahigian, Diane Kahigian, (mom & dad) and Jessica Kahigian arrived at DHMC at midnight and Jess was in surgery by 5:15am on 7/3/26!

We were able to see her at 2pm today and in typical Jess fashion she has a smile on her face even with the pain that she is enduring!

We truly appreciate all the support and prayers throughout Jess’s Journey! Stay tuned for her recovery updates 🤩

Finding Jess’s perfect match has always been our main goal but we also want to continue to raise awareness for kidney and organ donation 💙💚

Please share and help find Jess a perfect kidney match 💙💚

Meet Jessica Kahigian, 30, from Hampton, NH — a young woman facing end-stage kidney failure with incredible strength, positivity, and resilience. 💚

Despite everything, Jessica continues to show up each day with hope — embodying what it truly means to fight with grace and courage.

But she can’t do this alone.

Jessica is currently searching for a living kidney donor.
Her blood type is B+, which means someone with B or O blood type may be a match.

A transplant wouldn’t just improve her life — it would give her the chance to live it fully again.

💚 More energy

National Donate Life Month Fun Fact ✨
Lake Winnipesaukee is Jess’s favorite place—and a family tradition we’ve been lucky to grow up with year after year ☀️ Last summer looked a little different. Jess spent 3 days of her one-week vacation in dialysis for 3 hours at a time, missing out on the beach and unable to swim, but she never once complained. She rested when she needed to and made the most of every moment she could.
That’s just who Jess is, always finding the bright side 💙💚
We’re looking forward to being back at the lake together at the end of this summer, hopefully with a new perfect kidney match even to celebrate 🤩🙏
