summer heat. You can also stop by our resident technology library or participate in an exercise or advanced learning class in our town hall. Savor your meals in our stunning dining room with vaulted ceiling and enormous windows that allow sunlight to pour in. Juniper Village at Lebanon is a three building campus conveniently located in South Lebanon Township, just east of the city of Lebanon. Our personal care community features 81 private and semi-private rooms, each with private bath, kitchenettes, and individually controlled heating and cooling. Our independent senior living community is located right next door and features 40 large, bright one and two bedroom apartments. We have apartments located both on the ground floor and on the second floor, for those who still want the exercise of stairs! Unlike many other independent living communities in the area, there is no upfront buy-in for our apartments. We offer a simple lease agreement with the comfort of knowing that if you need it, our personal care community is just a few steps away.

The Stars, Stripes & Strings event brought the Lebanon community together for an amazing, patriotic performance by a group of talented young violinists and a pianist! Nearly 30 young musicians performed a wonderful selection of patriotic favorites and lively, toe-tapping classics. Members of the Armed Forces were honored with a moving musical salute and standing ovations from the crowd. This beautiful experience was made possible through a wonderful partnership with the Ashley Butters Violin Studio and Cornwall UMC. A sincere thanks to everyone who attended.

Our American Tapestry event was a wonderful success! Individuals of all ages collaborated to paint the beautiful mural, bringing generations together through art. Special thanks to Windmill Art Studios and professional artist Heather Lindsay, who sketched the design using community answers to the question, "What does America mean to me?" Everyone enjoyed adding their own creative brushstrokes to bring this shared vision to life. Once completed, the artwork will be proudly displayed during the Lebanon County 250th Anniversary Celebration on July 4th.

A sincere thank you to Erika Mollo, Penn State College of Medicine Nutrition Coordinator, for visiting Juniper Village to deliver and launch our Aerogardening journey via the Penn State VeggieRx Nutrition Program.

Erika set up four Aerogardens and led an in-depth discussion on how aging changes nutritional needs including the importance of adding more whole grains, fruits, and vegetables in our diets. These gardens will provide fresh greens and herbs for the made-to-order meals in the Juniper Thyme Eatery. Community members and associates will maintain the systems by monitoring water levels and adding plant food, creating a hands-on opportunity to grow healthy foods right on campus.

We extend our gratitude to Erika and the Penn State College of Medicine for supporting healthy living and helping our community get started with Aerogardening.

Congratulations to Marlin on an incredible showing at the Lebanon County Senior Olympics!

Marlin achieved a personal best this year, bringing home an impressive 5 medals-2 gold and 3 silvers! He earned silver medals in corn hole, softball throw, and basketball foul shots. He also captured gold in horseshoes and teamed up with his partner Trudy (pictured) to win gold in Bocce!

He and other community members celebrated his success with a special toast in honor of his victories. Way to go Marlin!
