Salina Regional Gastroenterology is expanding GI care throughout north central Kansas, offering outreach clinics in Abilene, Concordia and Lindsborg.

Dr. Paul Johnson will provide GI care at Memorial Health System of Abilene, KS one Monday a month starting August 17th.

Dr. Luke Johnson will provide GI care at North Central Kansas Medical Center one Thursday a month starting August 20th.

Dr. Jesica Brown will provide GI care at Lindsborg Community Hospital one Tuesday a month starting September 1st.

Urgent Care can help with minor injuries, illnesses, infections, cuts, sprains, fevers, and more when you need care but don’t need the emergency room.

🎗️ September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is a time to honor and recognize the children and families who have faced childhood cancer, as well as those who are currently navigating a cancer diagnosis.

Cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death among children in the United States.

Some common signs of childhood cancer may include:

• Unexplained weight loss
• Persistent or recurring fevers
• Unusual lumps or swelling
• Frequent bone or joint pain
• Easy or unexplained bruising
• Morning headaches, especially when accompanied by vomiting

Because these symptoms can often look like common childhood illnesses, it’s important to pay attention when symptoms persist or seem unusual for your child.

If you have concerns about your child’s health or notice symptoms that don’t go away, talk with your child’s health care provider. Early evaluation can help identify the cause and determine if further testing is needed.
