Throughout her journey, Cheryn was surrounded by encouragement from both her wonderful family and the entire Bethany Village community. Seeing everyone come together to support and celebrate her progress has been a touching reminder of the sense of belonging that makes Bethany Home such a special place.

This summer, we are spotlighting the passionate, strategic, and dedicated individuals who guide LeadingAge Kansas, KING, EBI, and our Foundation to service and success.

Kicking off our Board Spotlights, is Kris Erickson, Board Chair of the LeadingAge Kansas Board of Directors.

Kris has been an administrator since 2001, and currently serves the residents of Bethany Village as CEO.

What keeps Kris excited about serving seniors?
"Seniors are fascinating people with great histories, but it is also fun to see young staff develop a passion for caring."

What does Kris like most about serving on our board?
"LeadingAge Kansas has been one of my best resources throughout my career. I chose to serve as a way of giving back for all the support I’ve received."

Kris would like members to know:
"I haven’t always been in senior care. I spent three years as a licensed School Psychologist. Elders are more interesting than kids!"

Bethany Village has some new wheels! 🚗

We're excited to share that we were able to purchase two new vehicles through the FTA Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program, administered through KDOT. This program helps improve transportation for older adults and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they remain connected to essential services and appointments.

These new vehicles are an investment in the exceptional service our transportation team provides every day. With these additions to our fleet, our team can continue providing residents with safe, reliable transportation.

A huge shoutout to our incredible transportation team for all they do to keep Bethany Village moving! 💙
