🌱The Weight: This is the objective reality. It represents the actual facts, the literal events of a situation.
🪻The Meaning: This is your subjective story. It represents your beliefs, fears, expectations, and personal history projected onto those facts.
🪻Why This Matters
🌞Reduces Suffering: A heavy event (like losing a job or the ending of a relationship) is difficult. However, the meaning you attach to it ("I am a failure" or "I'm not lovable") causes the actual suffering.
🌞 Restores Control: You cannot always change the objective weight of circumstances.
🌞However, you can always change the meaning you give them.
