Today we were reminded how special our community truly is. 💜🦋

Yesterday morning, a generous donor reached out to ask if she could share the beautiful floral arrangements from her daughter's bridal shower with the patients and families at Niagara Hospice House. We were honored to accept, and the bouquets now brighten our common areas, bringing beauty and comfort to those spending time with us.

What makes this story even more meaningful is that many years ago, her daughter was part of the kindergarten class that helped bring our beloved Butterfly Garden to life. Now, as she celebrates her upcoming wedding, her family has once again chosen to share kindness with Niagara Hospice.

This full-circle moment is a beautiful reminder of the lasting connections that make our community so special.

Niagara Hospice provides care to Niagara County residents living with a life-limiting illness and a prognosis of approximately six months or less, should the illness follow its natural course - regardless of diagnosis.

One of the most common questions we hear is, “When is it time to call hospice?” And that is why we like to share this information regularly. Recognizing the signs that hospice may be appropriate can help individuals and families reach out sooner, allowing them to access the full range of comfort, support, education, and symptom management services available through Niagara Hospice.

A HUGE thank you to Attitudes Bar And Grill and Navy Marine Club Inc for their incredible generosity! They recently stopped by to present a donation of $1,100 raised through their golf outing fundraiser.

They also shared their appreciation for the care Niagara Hospice has provided to their loved ones and to our community. We are truly grateful for their support.

The Grateful Heart Award is a way for our patients & families to give thanks to Niagara Hospice staff for exhibiting excellence in care, embracing the mission and values of Niagara Hospice, and making the hospice journey meaningful for patients and their loved ones. The award is presented quarterly. 💛

We are excited to share that Tatiana Azofeifa, Hospice Aide, is our 2026 1st Quarter Grateful Heart Award Winner! 💛

“There is not a single person who isn't deserving of this at your facility, with that being said I'd like to nominate Tatiana, overnight aide. She was beyond kind and compassionate with my mother, sitting with her, laughing with her and even after my mother was no longer responsive, she came in and spoke to her...not expecting a response but just spoke to her; not about her or at her but to her, caressing her hair and making her feel true genuine caring. I will never forget that. I thank you a million times from the bottom of my heart.”
