Thank you Logan High School baseball players, supporting staff, and coaches for this past season. To the seniors best of everything as your journey continues. To the underclassmen it appears you have some really good young men to follow. Thanks again guys....thank you also to the parents, grandparents, and whoever supported you this season and your years of getting you to practice and travel ball (you folks are the unsung heros) of any team.

IF YOU HATE GENERIC FUNERALS, READ THIS. 🕯️

The 'Memory Table' is a relic of the 90s. Today, we’re building 'Touchstone Stations' that actually help you heal.

Why? Because science says so. Tactile interaction (the act of touching items) triggers deep memory recall that just looking at a photo can’t reach.

Instead of a guest book, try a 'Story Jar.' Instead of a slideshow, try an 'Artifact Display.' Your loved one wasn't a 2D image—don't let their service be one either.

Save this post for when you’re ready to plan something that actually feels like home. ✨

Have you ever wondered? Results does not occur by happen-stance. FOR YOUR INFORMATION.
It’s a shock to most, but nearly 92% of how a person looks at their funeral depends on a science most people never see. We’re talking about the chemistry of the prep room. When a loved one has been on heavy medications, 'standard' procedures don't work. It takes hours of precision mixing and vascular study to create that moment of peace for a family. We don't just 'apply makeup'; we restore dignity through science. Have you ever wondered what actually happens behind those closed doors? Ask your most curious question below.

Jim B. Vinson Obituary
Jim Bearl "Bo" Vinson, 94, of Logan (Cow Creek), West Virginia, passed away on May 31, 2026. Born on February 2, 1932, in Fort Gay, West Virginia, Jim lived a life marked by faithful service, hard work, and love for his family and community.

Jim devoted twenty years to the United States Marine Corps, where he excelled to the rank of Gunny E-7 as an enlisted man - a testament to the spirit and dedication he carried throughout his life. After his military service, he worked in the coal mines before channeling his expertise into education, spending over two decades teaching vocational education in diesel mechanics and hydraulics at the Ralph R Willis Career and Technical Center. Many students were better prepared for life's work because of him.

In his leisure time, Jim was most at home on the golf course, where he enjoyed the game he loved well into his later years. Personal highlights were a few holes in one and golfing with Arnold Palmer while stationed in Hawaii during his military service. Sunday lunches with family or friends were a cherished ritual, and he was a faithful member of Logan Church of the Nazarene.

Jim was the last surviving child of his parents, the late Monzola and Alice Malissa (Smith) Vinson. of Fort Gay, WV. He was preceded in death by brothers Millard Filmore "Doc" Vinson and William Jesse Vinson; sisters Arzella "Zell" Phiffer, Mimzie Lou "Creasy" Mahon Adkins, Tilda Ann "Tootsie" Brewer, Edna Mae "Helen" Kavulick, Barbara Malinda Baisden and Geneva "Jenny" Mahon.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sandra Lowe of Logan; his son, Bill Vinson (Jan) of White House,Tennessee; grandsons David Lowe II, Jamie Lowe, Eric Vinson (Cara), and Drew Vinson (Laura); granddaughter Molly Vinson Ranson (Carter); and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Logan Church of the Nazarene in Logan. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Chapmanville, WV.

Friends may call on the family on Wednesday at Honaker Funeral Home in Logan from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked contributions be made to the Saturday Bag Lunch Program of Logan Church of the Nazarene, P. O. Box 1410 , Logan, WV 25601.
