Juneteenth marks the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved Black Americans.
Today, we celebrate not only how far we’ve come, but what freedom makes possible.
To dream without limits.
To pursue excellence without apology.
To embrace the fullness of who we are.
To embody the beauty, brilliance, and joy that define us.
Black excellence is not simply achievement—it is legacy. It is resilience. It is possibility realized. And I’m especially grateful to share this space with fellow Black physicians—a reminder of what becomes possible when generations before us dared to dream beyond the limits imposed upon them.
As we honor the progress made, we remain committed to carrying that legacy forward and continuing the work.
Happy Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚
