Wellspring is honored to be working alongside the Louisville Metro Office of Social Services and we are most grateful for a recent Homeless Initiative Funding grant that helps support Wellspring's Assertive Community Treatment team's intensive Case Management. There is so much work to do, but we are glad to have wonderful community partners like this!

The great work Wellspring CEO Kathy Dobbins has poured into this community for decades will be recognized as part of her induction into the Atherton High School Alumni Hall of Fame. This week volunteers from across the Bluegrass Division spent a beautiful afternoon beautifying one of Wellspring's most unique permanent supportive housing properties for adults with SMI in Louisville. Thank you to these professionals who took time and effort to make a difference for others!

This week we celebrate dedicated professionals who help Wellspring clients with their personal recoveries. Case Managers and Peer Support Specialists help to improve outcomes, enhance care coordination, and strengthen recovery for adults with mental illness. Please join us in thanking them for all they do to "tote"-ally carry forward Wellspring's mission every day!

We are in the midst of Mental Illness Awareness Week (MIAW). Every year during the first full week of October we are called to add extra focus to the importance of advocating for behavioral health and to confront stigma associated with mental illnesses.
Conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, and PTSD are not character flaws or personal failures — they are medical conditions that respond to treatment, particularly when caught early and addressed with evidence-based care.
We join our partners with and others in asking you to help change any negative narratives, know the facts, and support our neighbors who can live meaningful lives of recovery with support like Wellspring's.
