Patient education is one of the foundations of functional medicine.

When patients actually understand what’s happening inside their bodies, they can make more informed decisions about their health, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, stress, metabolism, and long-term wellness.

At Live Life Well Clinic, we believe empowerment starts with education, not a prescription or confusion.

That’s why we offer educational wellness programs designed to help patients better understand the root causes behind symptoms instead of simply chasing symptom management alone.

Our current educational courses include:

• Live Life Well Metabolic Reset
Focused on insulin resistance, blood sugar balance, inflammation, metabolism, and sustainable lifestyle change.

• 40 Days to Begin Living Life Well
A foundational wellness course centered around daily habits, nutrition, movement, mindset, and stress management.

• 90 Days to Begin Living Life Well
A deeper educational program focused on long-term health strategies, accountability, consistency, and sustainable wellness routines.

We also understand that some patients prefer a more personalized approach.

If you’d rather talk directly with a physician about your symptoms, health history, labs, goals, or concerns, you can schedule a Free Discovery Call with Dr. Jon Skelton.

The Discovery Call is an opportunity to:

• Briefly explain what’s been going on
• Learn how our clinic approaches chronic health conditions
• Ask questions directly to Dr. Skelton
• Decide whether our clinic is the right fit for you before committing to an appointment

Functional medicine is not just about prescriptions. It’s about helping patients understand their bodies so they can take ownership of their health.

‘Your thyroid labs are normal.” Cool.
So why do you still feel like an absolute dumpster fire?

Chronic fatigue. Stubborn weight gain. Brain fog. Depression. Mood swings. Anxiety. Hair loss. And a doctor who keeps telling you everything looks fine.

Here is the issue with standard thyroid care under an endocrinologist: standard thyroid testing only checks 2 markers.

TWO.

Those two markers won’t catch viral-triggered thyroid dysfunction, autoimmune thyroid disease, or the difference between your labs being in the standard range VS. the optimal range.

Those aren’t the same thing. Not even close.

At Live Life Well Clinic, we run comprehensive thyroid panels - including viral markers, mineral deficiencies, and full hormone profiles

We’re not trying to rule out organ failure. We’re trying to find out why you feel terrible despite being told you’re fine.

We also don’t do one-size-fits-all treatment.

Your thyroid labs are yours.

Your treatment should be too.

If you’ve been dismissed, medicated, and still miserable, or just told to

“Come back in 6 months”

You deserve a second opinion from someone who actually digs deeper.

“Polycystic O***y Syndrome” has now officially been renamed “PolyMetabolic O***y Syndrome.”

Honestly, that part is a step in the right direction.

PCOS has always been about far more than ovarian cysts or irregular periods. Many women struggle with insulin resistance, blood sugar dysfunction, chronic inflammation, fatigue, infertility, weight gain, acne, hair loss, poor sleep, and metabolic dysfunction long before anyone calls it a “hormone problem.”

Research continues to show that insulin resistance is one of the major drivers behind PCOS symptoms, so reframing it as a metabolic condition may help more women understand what is actually happening inside their bodies.

But here’s the concern.

Modern medicine rarely stops at identifying the metabolic dysfunction. It usually jumps straight to medicating it.

Now we are watching an entire generation of women being subtly convinced they have a pharmaceutical GLP-1 deficiency instead of being taught how metabolism actually works.

If PCOS becomes “PMOS,” many fear it simply opens the door for even more lifelong GLP-1 prescriptions marketed as the solution.

At Live Life Well Clinic, we fundamentally disagree with that approach.

Your body is not malfunctioning because it lacks a weekly injection.

Insulin resistance is shaped by nutrition, muscle mass, sleep quality, stress, inflammation, ultra-processed foods, inactivity, circadian rhythm disruption, and nervous system dysfunction. Those are the areas we believe deserve attention first.

Women deserve education, not dependency. They deserve to understand metabolic health, nutrition, sleep, movement, and lifestyle factors instead of being told their only option is another prescription.

A lot of people hear “HIIT” (High-Intensity Interval Training) and immediately think it’s only for athletes or people already in shape.

That’s one of the biggest misconceptions about HIIT.

The truth is, HIIT can be modified for almost anyone. Beginners. Busy parents. People restarting their health journey. Adults trying to lose weight, improve insulin resistance, increase stamina, or simply feel better again.

“High intensity” is relative to YOU.

For one person, that might mean sprinting.

For another, it might mean simple bodyweight movements done intentionally for short periods of time.

And that’s the beauty of HIIT.

You don’t necessarily need a gym membership, expensive equipment, or hours of free time to challenge your body and improve your health.

Research continues to show that HIIT workouts may help:

• Improve insulin sensitivity
• Support blood sugar regulation
• Increase cardiovascular fitness
• Improve metabolic health
• Preserve muscle mass
• Increase stamina and energy
• Support fat loss and body composition
• Improve mitochondrial function and longevity markers

One of the most encouraging parts of HIIT is that it meets you where you are.

You start at YOUR level.

You progress at YOUR pace.

And over time, your body adapts.

Consistency matters far more than perfection.

The goal is creating a body that is stronger, healthier, more resilient, and capable of doing life well.
