When an issue beyond our control brought our kitchen to a halt today, something beautiful happened: Jordan stepped forward and made grits—grits some residents called the best they had ever tasted, while others, with equal conviction, called them the worst.
But the moment that will stay with us was watching employees from completely different departments quietly roll up their sleeves and work side by side, determined that every resident would be fed. In the face of a problem, no one said, “That’s not my job.” They simply said, “These are our people,” and took care of them like family.

⭐️ RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT: MR. PEYTON ⭐️

Mr. Peyton is a father, a Spider-Man fan, and a man with a heart of gold.

One afternoon, while visiting the facility, Jordan’s seven-year-old son started playing ball with Mr. Peyton. What seemed like a simple game became a moment that little boy wouldn’t soon forget. Mr. Peyton took the time to laugh, play, and make him feel special.

The moment left such an impression that the very next day, Jordan’s son sent Mr. Peyton one of his very own baseball cards.

Mr. Peyton may love Spider-Man, but that day, he was the hero.

Some people walk through our doors and instantly feel like they’ve always belonged. That’s exactly who Mrs. Judy is. We’re so excited to welcome her to our family! Give her a good puzzle to solve, a cup of black coffee (no cream, please), and a rocking chair on the front porch, and she’ll be right at home. Some people simply do a job, but Sandy serves with her whole heart. She is one of the hardest-working individuals I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing, and her love for our residents is evident in everything she does. No matter how busy she is, if a resident needs help, she immediately stops what she’s doing to be there for them. She goes above and beyond every single day—not because anyone asks her to, but because caring for others is simply who she is. Her kindness, compassion, and selfless spirit make our facility feel more like home, and the lives she touches are better because of her. Sandy, we see you, we appreciate you, and we are incredibly grateful to have you as part of our family.
