Reversible: you can change your mind at any time, even in the middle of something.
Informed: everyone knows what they are agreeing to.
Enthusiastic: a yes you want to give.
Specific: a yes to one thing does not mean a yes to everything.

We had a full table of love at the Greater Madison Chamber of Commerce 73rd Annual Dinner last night. More than 1,200 neighbors, business owners, and community leaders filled Monona Terrace, and it was a good reminder of who we are doing this work alongside.

One idea kept coming back all night: a community is only as strong as what each of us pours into it. When people give their full selves, things multiply. When we hold back, we all feel it.
That is what we see at Anesis every day. People who feel seen and supported go on to show up for their families, their workplaces, and their neighbors. Care for one person reaches a lot of other people.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello, shared a story, or told us what Anesis has meant to them. You are the reason we keep going.

For some people it includes therapy or medication, for others peer support, faith, family, or harm reduction, and often it shifts over time. Setbacks do not erase progress.
