Root Center was glad to participate in Southeastern Mental Health Authority’s Fourth Annual Integrated Care Open House! 💙 Thank you to Mark Peake, Recovery Coach from our Norwich Clinic for representing Root!

The event brought together organizations and community resources to connect individuals with information and support across mental health, addiction services, primary care, employment services, and more.

Opportunities like this allow us to share more about Root Center’s programs, build connections with community partners, and help strengthen the network of person-centered care available to individuals across Connecticut.

National Health Education Week and Depression Awareness Month give us an important opportunity to talk about mental health, education, and the role trusted professionals can play in helping people feel supported. 💙

To bring those conversations together, we connected with one of Root Center’s Adolescent Counselors to discuss common misconceptions about depression, signs that may be overlooked, what she would say to someone who may be hesitant to ask for help, and how our school-based counselors support students navigating their mental health.

By creating space for conversations like these, we hope to reduce stigma, share helpful perspectives, and highlight the important work our school-based teams do every day to support students where they are.

Root Center was proud to attend InterCommunity, Inc. Light Up the Night Gala and spend an evening celebrating community, connection, and whole-person care. ✨

The event brought together local leaders and community partners in support of InterCommunity’s mission to expand access to physical health care, mental health services, addiction recovery, and other supports across Greater Hartford.

Members of Root Center’s leadership team also had the opportunity to connect with InterCommunity CEO Tyler Booth and celebrate the important work being done throughout our communities.
