Young children don’t hit because they’re “bad.” They hit because they’re still learning how to handle big feelings, frustration, and impulses.
The goal isn’t to punish the behavior. It’s to teach a better response. Calm boundaries, consistency, and showing them what they can do instead help build the skills they’re still developing.
