Young children don’t hit because they’re “bad.” They hit because they’re still learning how to handle big feelings, frustration, and impulses.

The goal isn’t to punish the behavior. It’s to teach a better response. Calm boundaries, consistency, and showing them what they can do instead help build the skills they’re still developing.

Will shaving your baby’s hair actually make it grow back thicker? 👶✂️
It can certainly look and feel thicker as it grows back, but shaving doesn’t change the hair follicle underneath the skin — which is what determines the hair itself.
Baby hair is going to change naturally during those first months anyway. So shave it for cultural or personal reasons if you choose, but not because you expect it to change how thick their hair ultimately grows.

Babies and toddlers dehydrate dangerously fast.

Their bodies are mostly water, but they have very small reserves — so vomiting and diarrhea can become serious within hours.

One of the biggest risks: kids often stop drinking before parents realize how dehydrated they are.

No tears. Dry mouth. Fewer wet diapers. Excessive sleepiness. Vomiting everything back up.

And never assume another child’s experience predicts yours.

Every child and every illness is different.

What looks like random play is often your baby’s brain hard at work. Exploring, mouthing, dropping, and banging objects are all part of how babies learn about the world and build the foundation for future problem-solving.
Sometimes the best thing we can do is create a safe space... and let them explore. Save this for later and share it with a parent who needs the reminder.

Is there evidence to support the claim that the MMR vaccine is lethal?

According to the President of the United States: No.

Anyway, that’s it. That’s the caption. 😂

I’m just putting the information here. You guys do whatever you want with it.

Personally, I remain a big fan of evidence-based health policy for America’s children - Your children.

And to our NYC parents, I think you are officially over these silly games. 😂

There was a time when something like this would come out and we’d immediately get a million emails, texts, and calls. So far? Crickets.

Which tells me you’ve been listening, asking questions, and getting educated along the way.

But as always, if anything you hear worries you, we are just a text away. Ask us anything.

We do, in fact, have ALL the evidence. 😉

That pulsing spot on a newborn’s head can look a little scary when you first notice it. 👶💓
It’s the fontanelle — one of the soft spaces between the skull bones that gives a baby’s brain room to grow. And yes, sometimes you can actually see it pulse along with their heartbeat.
Baby anatomy is pretty incredible when you know what you’re looking at. 🤍

Some of the best toys you'll ever give your child probably won't come from a toy store. Open-ended play with simple things like cardboard boxes, markers, blankets, or kitchen containers encourages imagination, creativity, and problem-solving in ways that battery-powered toys and screens simply can't. Don't underestimate the power of boredom either—it often becomes the starting point for a child's most creative ideas.

Make it make sense!

Baby sleep can feel like a mystery, especially in those first few months. 😴

Start with safe sleep, then focus on simple, consistent cues that help your baby begin to learn the difference between day and night.

And remember: every baby is different. What works like magic for one may do absolutely nothing for another. 🤍

Most parents know what to do when a child chokes. Far fewer know what to do when a child sticks something up their nose.
This simple trick has saved many unnecessary ER visits—but knowing when not to use it is just as important.
