You can be exhausted and still be incredibly good at getting things done.

You go to work. Answer the texts. Take care of people. Handle what needs to be handled.

And because you’re still functioning, it can be easy to miss just how much you’re carrying.

Sometimes it shows up in the smallest moments.

Sitting in the car a little longer.

Standing in the shower after the water has gone cold.

Staying up later than you meant to because it’s finally quiet.

Maybe those moments aren’t something you need to feel guilty about.

Maybe they’re worth noticing.

Your body may be asking for a pause long before you consciously realize you need one.

Sometimes you know something needs to change, even when you can’t quite explain what it is.

You may notice it in the way you react.
The tension you carry.
How hard it is to fully relax.
The emotions that seem to come out of nowhere.
Or simply the feeling that you’re ready to stop carrying so much.

This is why I believe so deeply in Somatic Breathwork.

There are things we can understand with our minds—and things our bodies need the opportunity to feel, express, process and release.

And what I love about this work is that it doesn’t have to look a certain way.

It can be tears.
It can be movement.
It can be laughter.
It can be complete stillness.
It can even be falling asleep.

Your body gets to have its own experience.
If something in this post made you think, I need this, I’d love for you to experience a Full Somatic Journey for yourself.
In-person + online sessions available.

Sometimes anxiety doesn’t look like panic.

It can look like needing to have every detail figured out. Replaying a conversation. Checking something one more time. Or making a decision quickly because the uncertainty feels harder to sit with.

From the outside, it may not look like anxiety at all.

And afterward, you may even wonder, “Why did I do that?”

I think there’s value in getting curious about that moment instead of judging it.

What were you feeling?

What were you trying to make stop?

Sometimes understanding the feeling underneath the reaction can tell us more than the reaction itself.

When something keeps bothering you, it makes sense to focus on fixing that thing.

But you are more than the symptom that brought you looking for answers.

I want to know what was happening before it started. What makes it better or worse. What else has changed. How you’ve been feeling. What life has looked like lately.

Not because every little thing is necessarily connected.

Because all of it is part of understanding you.

I don’t want to just know where it hurts or what you’re struggling with.

I want to understand the person experiencing it.

Sometimes the frustrating part isn’t that you haven’t tried.

It’s that you have.

You’ve put time, energy, and thought into feeling better—and when something still feels off, it can leave you wondering what you’re overlooking.

Maybe the question isn’t “What should I try next?”

Maybe it’s “What haven’t I considered yet?”
That question is a big part of how I approach every clients situation.

Sometimes you don’t notice when you start feeling less like yourself.

There isn’t always one big moment.
Life gets busy. Responsibilities change. Stress builds. You adjust, keep going, and learn how to function through it.

Until one day you realize…

I’m doing everything I normally do, but I don’t feel like me.

That feeling is worth noticing.

Sometimes reconnecting with yourself begins simply by recognizing how long you’ve been adapting.

Persistent pain can be frustrating when you’ve looked for answers and still don’t understand why it’s there.

Naturally, we focus on the place that hurts. We stretch it, massage it, apply something to it, or try another approach aimed at that specific area.

But sometimes it’s worth zooming out.
Where you feel the pain may be only one piece of a much bigger picture.

That’s why I look beyond the symptom itself and consider the whole person—not just where something hurts.
Sometimes a different perspective is where we begin.

One of the most interesting things about self-awareness is realizing that knowing something and experiencing it differently aren’t always the same thing.

You can recognize a pattern.
Understand where it came from.
Even know that the situation in front of you is different now.

And yet, something in you still responds automatically.

That’s part of what drew me to body-based work.

It creates space to become curious about those moments—not just Why am I doing this? but What am I noticing as it happens?

For me, that distinction matters.

Because awareness doesn’t always have to begin with trying to change something.

Sometimes it begins with simply noticing.

And that’s often where something new becomes possible. 🤎

Have you ever caught yourself thinking...
"I wish I hadn't said that."
Most of us don't mean to react the way we do. We're often responding from a nervous system that's overwhelmed, rushed, or running on autopilot.
Breathwork isn't about becoming calm all the time.
It's about creating enough space to choose your next response instead of letting stress choose it for you.
Sometimes one breath is enough to change the next moment.
🤍 Where in your life could you use a little more space today?

How many times have you told yourself…

"I just need to be more disciplined."

Maybe that's true sometimes.

But what if the problem isn't a lack of discipline?

What if your body simply doesn't have the capacity you're asking it to have?

When your nervous system has been carrying stress for weeks, months, or even years, everything requires more effort.

Focusing.
Following through.
Being patient.
Making decisions.

Instead of asking,
"Why can't I be more disciplined?"

Try asking,
"What would help me have more capacity today?"

That question shifts us from self-criticism to self-awareness.

Because sometimes the answer isn't to push harder.

It's to support your body differently.

📝 A reminder for today:
**Be curious before you're critical of yourself.**

💛 What helps you feel like you have more capacity?
