🎉 Celebrating our CPS Directors at the 2026 JHS Resident Quality & Safety Showcase! ⭐

Congratulations to Drs. Joni Maga, Danielle Bodzin Horn, Claudia Cruz, and colleagues for an outstanding presentation.

Their project focused on improving PONV (postoperative nausea and vomiting) prophylaxis adherence for high-risk patients undergoing general anesthesia—helping ensure the right prevention steps happen consistently, every time.

🌟 We’re going 3 for 3!
We’re proud to have hosted another fun and interactive workshop with NSLC - National Student Leadership Conference , marking our third year welcoming high school learners from around the world who are passionate about healthcare. This workshop gives students a glimpse of what to expect in and beyond medical school, with hands-on experiences ranging from advanced simulations — like birthing and difficult airway management — to immersive virtual reality.

What makes this workshop especially meaningful each year is the involvement of medical students from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine . Stepping into the role of instructors, they led sessions, shared their journeys, and offered firsthand insight into the path of becoming a physician.

While we can’t predict where these bright learners will go next, we hope this experience sparked new inspiration and direction. And maybe one day, we’ll welcome them back to our simulation center as medical students at ! 🧡💚
