Feeling stressed is something we all experience—but how do you know when stress may be something more?

Stress and anxiety can look and feel similar, and both can affect our thoughts, emotions, and physical well-being. Understanding the difference can be a helpful first step toward finding the right kind of support.

If worry, tension, or other symptoms are beginning to interfere with your sleep, relationships, work, or everyday life, you don't have to navigate it alone. Reaching out to a mental health professional can help you better understand what you're experiencing and explore ways to cope.

Save this post as a reminder to check in with yourself—and share it with someone who may need it. 💚

As Mental Illness Awareness Week comes to a close, the conversation doesn't have to.

Talking openly about mental health can help reduce stigma, encourage people to seek support, and remind others that they aren't alone.

Real voices can create understanding. Understanding can create connection. And connection can create change.

Let's keep the conversation going beyond this week. 💚

Mental health conditions are common, and millions of people experience them each year.

Behind every statistic is a person with their own experiences, challenges, relationships, and hopes.

Mental health awareness helps us replace stigma with understanding and reminds us that no one should feel alone in seeking support.

Depression can affect how someone feels, thinks, and functions in everyday life, and sometimes the signs aren't immediately obvious.

If you've been experiencing persistent changes in your mood, sleep, energy, motivation, or interest in things you normally enjoy, consider talking with a health care or mental health professional.

Taking the time to check in with yourself can be an important first step.

Mental health care is strengthened when scientific research and lived experience inform one another.

Research helps us better understand mental health conditions and treatment, while the experiences of individuals and families help illuminate what support looks like in real life.

Both perspectives matter in building a better future for mental health care.

Mental health affects people from every background and community.

When research and mental health care include diverse perspectives and experiences, we can work toward approaches that better serve the people who need them.

Everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and able to access meaningful mental health support.

Mental health care continues to evolve as research gives us a better understanding of mental health conditions and how they can be treated.

Scientific discovery, combined with the experiences of people living with mental health conditions, helps shape more effective and compassionate approaches to care.

During Mental Illness Awareness Week, we're recognizing the progress being made and the work that continues.

Mental Illness Awareness Week begins October 4.

This week is an opportunity to talk openly about mental health, challenge stigma, and recognize the importance of science, lived experience, and access to compassionate care.

Over the coming week, we'll be sharing information and resources focused on mental health awareness, early support, and the continued progress being made in mental health care.

Let's help create a community where talking about mental health is met with understanding, not judgment. 💚
