d fostering lifelong independent living. Our practice is centered around Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), supported by a variety of approaches to family-centered care. ABA is a scientific discipline that examines the relationship between an individual’s environment and their behavior. It is a nationally recognized, evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Meet Mimi Vickers, one of our behavior technicians and trainers at our Lansing Center! 💙

Mimi has such a beautiful approach to working with our learners. Her passion for this work shines through in everything she does. Mimi’s favorite way to connect with learners is through child-led play and mirroring the activities they love. Whether that’s racing around the gym like ice skaters or splashing around in a water bin, she makes sure every learner feels seen and valued for their personalities and interests.

Fun Fact: Mimi has been in the top 0.01% of global fans for Kesha on Spotify for the past 3 years! 🎶
