We are thrilled to be partnering with Homeplace of New Bern, our sister community Morningside of Wilmington and Dream Flights! 2 of our Veterans and 4 from Wilmington will be heading to the New Bern airport on Wednesday to take part in a ride on a WWII-era Stearman biplane! Arrive Transport in Wilmington is offering free transport for their veterans to get to this event! We are so excited to be a part of this event to honor our veterans!

From the games to the great company, it was wonderful seeing everyone come together and enjoy a night to remember. A huge thank-you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success. 🎶✨ We had a rockin' good time at our 1950s Theme Day at McCarthy Court Independent Living! 🎉🍔🥤
Our residents enjoyed delicious old-fashioned milkshakes, sang their hearts out during karaoke, and wrapped up the day with a fun-filled dinner featuring classic 1950s favorites. From great music to wonderful food and lots of laughter, it was a day full of smiles, memories, and community spirit.
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this special event such a success! ❤️ We can't wait for our next themed celebration.

We were honored to welcome Sharon Kurtzman, author of The Lost Baker of Vienna, for a special visit and engaging discussion about the inspiration behind this remarkable story. Residents and guests enjoyed hearing about the book, asking questions, and sharing in meaningful conversation.
