South Asian Unity Parade with FBW: Youth Development on August 9, 2026.

After being invited back, we wanted to recognize new talent and bring fresh, vibrant cultural energy to the parade!

With a shared mission to empower the youth, UPYL. provided books and engaging literacy education for kids throughout the event.

Similarly, The Common Ground covered the parade through interviews, highlighting the incredible diversity of young people present from across the South Asian diaspora.

Bringing the movement to life, Dhamaka NYC led the march with powerful performances while FBW: Youth Development facilitated face painting, henna, and drawing activities for adolescents as they waited for the parade to begin.

We look forward to creating more events led by the youth, for the youth!

FBW Youth Development is excited to participate in the South Asian Unity Parade!

Because time is short, we urgently need volunteers with experience in henna and face painting.

Organizations may also reserve a table to promote youth engagement while we wait to march and enjoy student performances.

Bangladesh Day Parade!

On May 17th, we had the honor of organizing the Bangladesh Day Parade for multiple youth organizations and over 100 students!

This year’s turnout and impact were so much bigger and better than before, making it incredibly rewarding to the team to be directly involved with the planning of an event with such deep cultural meaning.

This wouldn’t have been possible without our incredible community. Thank you to all the artists, marching assistants, photographers, participants, parade organizers, and youth organizations that made this possible.
